2 Spring Summer 2015 Collection Marked with a forthright stamp of radical British history, Cutler and Gross presents its Spring/Summer 2015 Collection inspired by the cast of characters from The Beatles : Sgt Pepper s- Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover by British artist Peter Blake. Developed with an emotive message, key creative figures from the 1960 s album cover are an integral inspiration behind our metal and acetate collection. Influenced by the creative works of Diana Dors, Stuart Sutcliffe, Bob Dylan and the sophistication of Marlene Dietrich we introduce a series of geometric shapes and sharp brows in optical and sunglass styles. A sea of vibrancy seals our collection, as our new seasonal Mid Century Neon print is followed by new acetate colours: Northern Lights and Persian Blue. Our Spring/Summer 2015 Collection is shot exclusively by internationally acclaimed photographer Platon. Having first photographed for Cutler and Gross in 1998, Platon returns to capture the essence of our latest collection. Recognised for his portrait works of political figures and celebrity faces, he is one of the most renowned portrait photograhers of our time. Speaking of the collaboration, Platon explains: For me, Cutler and Gross represents a perfect combination of British eccentricity, humor and style. For the Union Jack image, I wanted to show there is a cheeky defiance, a pop art pirate eye patch. Our Cutler and Gross girl continues the legacy and spirit of Twiggy and J Shrimpton.
