1 Fall Spirit Week IMPORTANT! IF ANY STUDENT COMES DRESSED WITH ANY OF THE BAD EXAMPLES OR NOT FOLLOWING SCHOOL GUIDELINES, NOT ONLY THEY WILL NOT EARN SPIRIT POINTS BUT THEIR CLASS WILL ALSO GET POINTS DEDUCTED WOnKy WeDnEsdAY (Oct. 24) Ever feel like you dress too boring? Well now is the chance to prove yourself wrong! Come to school dressed up in the wackiest clothes you own. You must wear at least three mismatched items! Striped pants, floral shirt, and polka dot jacket. Rainbow shirt, blue jeans, and different color socks. Light blue shirt, jeans, and blue socks. Floral dress and pink scarf (only two items) Flashback Friday(Oct.26) It's a blast from the past! Wear at least three items that can be used to identify yourself with any time in the past all the way until the 1980 s. 1950s: Pastel or bright colors, polka dot dress, swing dress, pearl necklace, poodle skirts, gloves,peter Pan collar blouses, 1970s: Bright orange, green, and muddy brown colors, pantsuits, scarves, geometric prints, if wearing mini skirts or mini dresses you will need tights 1980s: Neon colors, sweaters tied around the neck, wrap skirts, cheap costume jewelry,fingerless gloves, shirts with shoulder pads. For any era your costume needs to follow the school guidelines Anything from the 1990s until now: your favorite t-shirt, jeans, and vans

2 Tourist Monday (Oct.29) Dress up like a tacky tourist! Do you ever get your fashion advice from tourists in Waikiki? Wear at least three items to identify yourself as one. - Good example: Aloha shirt, fanny pack, and fake flower lei, sunglasses, tube socks, cargo pants, carry a camera, tacky clothes, travel passport holder, wide brim hat, socks with sandals, straw hat, board shorts, I (city or country) t-shirts, - Bad example: Floral t-shirt, jeans, color coordinated clothing, normal free dress attire

3 Dia De los muertos day (Oct. 30) On Tuesday, October 30th dress up to celebrate Día de Los Muertos or Day of the Dead! Wear clothing decorated with flowers, to participate! Día de Los Muertos is an opportunity to remember and celebrate the lives of departed loved ones and to enjoy the belief that new life comes from death. If you do not want to participate during this day you have to come in Chapel attire. Don t forget to carry your School ID with you on this day. Celebremos! 4 HALLOWEEN (Oct. 31) Happy Halloween! To show your halloween spirit, come to school wearing your costume or an orange and black outfit. Don t forget to carry your School ID with you on this day. IF YOU WEAR A COSTUME, YOU MUST BE IN THE FULL COSTUME. Orange and black correct outfit example: A black shirt with orange pants (or vice versa). An orange and black shirt with a black skirt. UH Cheerleader: pom poms, Green shirt with the letters UH and a white skirt Princess leia: hair in two buns, long white dress, white belt with silver embellishments Orange shirt and black pants with halloween accessories Yellow shirt with gray jeans and sandals. Those that depict death, evil (e.g. devils, evil spirits, skeletons, ghosts), violence, smoking, drugs, or a costume that features a weapon. In keeping with the Priory s Code of Conduct, students may not wear costumes that may be considered disrespectful to gender, race, color, national origin, religion, disability status, or other protected status. If the student chooses to wear an ethnic costume (e.g. a traditional Kimono), it must be worn as it is intended by the culture it is depicting and honoring. The student should respect herself, others, and the larger community.

5 Non-Uniform Attire Guidelines There are certain days during the year when students will be allowed non-uniform attire. Specific non-uniform attire guidelines will accompany the announcement of these days. Please refer to the school website ( the Daily Bulletin, the enews, or teacher flyers, memos and Canvas pages for these At no time will clothing or apparel be permitted that contains advertisements for, or suggests the use of, tobacco, alcohol, violence, or illegal substances. The school also forbids the display of symbols that, in the opinion of the administration, encourages divisiveness based on race, sex, sexual preference, religion, or national origin. General Guidelines Attire should be neat and clean No strapless, spaghetti strap, crop tops or see-through shirts. No short shorts or short skirts. Shorts and skirts must not be shorter than four inches above the knee. No bike shorts or spandex No torn, ripped, or frayed denim Footwear regulations for non-uniform/aloha attire are in effect In the interest of student safety on the playground, students wear athletic or uniform shoes or FLAT-heeled sandals with secure back straps. Shoe heel height must be 1-inch or less. No slippers or slipper-like footwear, tevas, or flojos No Birkenstocks or Birkenstock-like footwear, including athletic sandals. No Yoga pants, or spandex pants.
