For the indigenous people, what life is all about begins with sun. The symbol of Sun reflects the most important element of the surrounding. Colored pictographs and symbols are what they use to tell stories from one generation to the other. The many fantastic stories told by Taiwan s indigenous groups are often the source of Designer Dai Lee Pun s idea for her works; the 2011 spring/summer collection is not an exception. 12 Jen Yu Hsu Jen Yu Hsu Born in Nantou, Taiwan, Jen Yu Hsu acquired a BFA degree in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design in New York City in 1992 and won an Award of Merit at the Young Fashion Designers Contest organized by TTF (Taiwan Textile Federation) in A few years later, he entered the finals of the Young Fashion Designers Contest in Paris, France and the Young Fashion Designers Exhibition in Osaka, Japan.
