2 The World Economic Forum's 2017 Global Gender Gap Report findings tell us that gender parity is over 200 years away. How can you take action to help accelerate gender parity this International Women s Day? Be part of a global movement for change and better futures for women. From now through the month of March, #PressforProgress with Dress for Success Toronto.

3 WHY YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS An investment in Dress for Success Toronto is not just an investment in a woman s future; it impacts the lives of their children, their families, and our community as a whole. In 2017, we helped 1394 women transition from unemployment to economic independence. Your efforts will enable us to expand our capacity to serve even more women in Toronto. We are about more than just a suit. Our programs address every phase of a woman s career and are designed to help woman secure and retain employment.

4 If 50 people hosted their own $300 fundraiser in support of Dress for Success Toronto, together we d raise $15,000. That s enough to transform the lives of 50 women as they work to achieve economic independence. Here s how you can be one of those 50.

5 300 $ Your fundraising goal. This is the cost to provide one woman with our suiting and career development programs for one year. 10 friends The number of people you ll need to easily reach your goal. $30 per person is what you might spend on a night out with friends. 1 woman Your efforts have enabled us to empower one woman to realize her full potential and achieve economic independence. Thank you!

6 EASY WAYS TO FUNDRAISE Why not use your existing social calendar as an opportunity to do good? Plan your initiative anytime before, on or after International Women s Day. Any idea, large or small, can make a big difference! Here are a few: FITNESS CLASS Ask your weekly boxing, spin or yoga instructor to host a special empower hour workout class, and to donate the proceeds to help you reach your goal. MOVIE NIGHT Skip the theatre and invite friends over for classic films directed by, or made about, strong women. Collect donations (and popcorn) at your door. DRESS UP/DOWN DAY For one day, encourage coworkers to wear what makes them feel empowered and include a small donation. We know first hand how the right outfit can boost your confidence! OFFICE BOOK CLUB Collect titles written by or about notable women. Host monthly reads and suggest a small donation fee to participate. CITY CRAWL Map out a handful of restaurants, bars or pubs in Toronto run by female entrepreneurs. Charge a small fee to participate and bring exposure to local businesses! LUNCH & LEARN Instead of ordering in, have coworkers brown bag their lunch and participate in a session on how they can help close the gender gap at work. Collect donations and earn bonus points for empowering a female to facilitate the session!
