37 Profile - Norma Barr Age 44 Native English speaker - from London, England Fluent in German Norma Barr is co-founder of DimensionAlley, a 3D printing store and product creation lab in Berlin. She considers herself to be a 3D printing wallah, using her printers as crafting tools to materialise amazing objects from spare parts to comets. She worked for 10 years in software configuration and release management at Sony and SonyEricsson in Munich and Tokyo. Norma made the transition from 3D printing start-up company to local printing service pioneer when she, together with husband Amin, opened the doors to their 3D printing store in Trade fairs, hackathons, public and private 3D printing events, parties, launch events, demos, solid concept product events...all have become an exciting and well established part of the DimensionAlley portfolio. We are so inspired by people s reactions to 3D printing. Many are still seeing printers for the first time in action and are amazed that we can show them how to design and materialise their own objects in such as short time. I really enjoy giving inspiration to all types of people when they see the pieces we have made and what they themselves can do. Norma has many years experience as a trainer for software and hardware tools as well as planning and running printing events. She communicates confidently and openly with people of all ages and walks of life. Norma tailors her style to the customer and conveys both technical details as well as passion for 3D printing and creativity.
