And he hopes all of those experiences that sound painful continue happening as he pursues a career in the entertainment industry as either an actor or stunt person or both. I ve never broken anything, he says, referring to bones, while relaxing for a few minutes at the end of the fashion photo shoot for this edition of Grand. He says being hired to work as a stunt person for a television show, movie or commercial pays well when the work is there. Trained in Western martial arts and wise in the ways of handling various types of swords, Rabethge says he s taking the slow and steady approach to building his career and making sure he s ready when opportunity knocks. With those aspirations it helps to have a regular job with lots of flexibility so he can take on acting or stunt work on short notice. He says he has found that ideal job driving a limousine for a Kitchener company. Born, raised and still living in Kitchener, the 28-year-old went to Grand River Collegiate Institute before majoring in theatre at the University of Waterloo. He graduated in 2014 and started chasing his dream. The highlight so far has been playing the role of a Jetpack Stormtrooper in a commercial for the video game Star Wars Battlefront II Rivalry.
