The retailer is running a gadget sale, with discounts on electronic devices such as LED and HD televisions, Xbox consoles and games, video games, printers, and cellphones. In the back-to school section, Target is featuring buy one, get one 25% off on school supplies; $15 cardigans; and buy one, get one 50% off on kids shoes. The retailer is also discounting kids favorite snacks, such as Pop-Tarts and baby carrots. CUSTOMER FAVORITES SALE The Macy s sale this week is running from August 26 through August 30, featuring discounts of 25% to 50% off selected merchandise storewide and an extra 15% off selected sale and clearance apparel when shoppers use a Macy s WOW! Pass. Macy s is no longer focusing on back-to-school promotions, but customers can still enjoy savings of 40% off Nautical uniforms and discounted kids and juniors apparel. Other discounts apply to men s and women s apparel, activewear, shoes and accessories. US PROMO HIGHLIGHTS YOU GOT THIS Kmart s weekly promo is all about back to school, and features a wide range of discounts in many sections. Deals include 25% off kids character hoodies; 35% off all backpacks; 25% off juniors apparel; and buy one, get one 50% off on footwear for the family. Customers can redeem a $10 off coupon with a purchase of $25 or more, with any form of payment. An extra 20% off applies to purchases made with a JCPenney credit card. Savings apply to kids and juniors apparel, bedding, backpacks, jewelry and shoes. BE YOU This week, the Sears back-to-school promo features 50% off kids apparel and an extra 15% off clothing with coupon. Discounts apply to backpacks, juniors apparel, activewear and shoes for the family. The retailer is offering back-tocollege savings, too: all bath towels are 30% off, futons are $179 and small electronic kitchen appliances, such as blenders and toasters, are $ US PROMO HIGHLIGHTS LOWEST PRICES Kohl s is promoting its Lowest Prices of the Season Sale, which runs through August 30. The retailer is offering many discounts in the kids section, such as $9.99 yoga tops or bottoms for girls, $7.99 fashion tops and bottoms for girls and boys, $12.99 character backpacks, and $17.99 joggers for boys. Some top offers from the men s tops and t-shirts sale are the Polo Ralph Lauren Custom Fit Mesh Polo Shirt at 30% off ( 49, US$76.90); the Tommy Hilfiger Brad Plain Crew Neck Hoodie at half price ( 50, US$78.40); and the Hugo Boss Stripe Regular Fit Polo Shirt at 40% off ( 71, US$111.40). House of Fraser is also running a promotion on women s dresses and swimwear. NEW SEASON OFFERS Debenhams is offering 20% off selected new season women s and men s jeans. Current-season highlights for women include Principles Petite by Ben de Lisi Dark Blue Petite Shape-Enhancing Bootcut Jeans, now at 28 (US$43.90) and RJR.John Rocha Light Grey Shape-Enhancing Elsa Straight-Leg Jeans at (US$40.20). UK PROMO HIGHLIGHTS FREE SHIRT AND TIE With a multibuy promotion, Marks & Spencer is offering a free shirt and tie when a customer purchases a Performance Suit for 149 (US$233.70). The M&S Sale is also continuing, offering savings of up to 60% off this week on products ranging from clothing to beauty to furniture. Top furniture picks include the Morella Sofa, now 60% off, at (US$156.20), and the Nordina Lounger, which is half price, at (US$195.30). M&S is offering 5 (US$7.80) off when a customer spends 40 (US$62.70) on kidswear, for all purchases made by midnight on August 25. The promotion includes clothing ranges for back to school. 7 SUMMER PARTY DRINKS With the summer Bank Holiday weekend approaching, many UK grocery retailers are promoting festive food and drink. Tesco is offering half off on selected wines, and selected champagne brands are also on sale this week. Moët & Chandon Impérial Brut Nonvintage Champagne 75Cl is 25% off, at (US$38.40) and Chanoine Vintage Champagne 75Cl is one-third off, at (US$31.60). Tesco s back-to-school campaign is still running, too. Some of this week s highlights include a Disney Pixar Cars Lunch Bag at 50% off (now 4, US$6.30) and a Bic Multi-Pack 72 Piece at 65% off ( 7, US$11.00). SUMMER IS FOR UNWINDING Waitrose is also continuing its end-of-summer Bank Holiday weekend promotions. The retailer is offering a bottle of champagne to each customer who spends over 100 (US$156.80). To redeem the offer, the customer must have or register for a Waitrose online account. The next time the customer spends the same amount, he or she will get 20 (US$31.40) off, and the following three times the customer makes an online purchase of 100 or more (by September 22), he or she will get 10 (US$15.70) off. Waitrose is also discounting a selection of Italian food by 25% until September 1. Sale items include Italian Antipasto Misto Ham at 3.74 (US$5.90), Fire-Roasted Vegetable & Pesto Pizza at 4.11 (US$6.40) and a selection of Italian olives at 2.24 (US$3.50). UK PROMO HIGHLIGHTS BUY SIX, SAVE 25% ON WINE Morrisons is offering a discount on selected wines and champagnes with a multibuy promotion: when customers buy six bottles, they get 25% off. Morrisons Signature 4 Smoked Cheddar Quarter Pounders are half price this week, at 2 (US$3.10); Mission Original Deli Wraps are 37% off, at 1 (US$1.60); and sweets such as Ben & Jerry s Cookie Core Ice Cream ( 2.49, US$3.90) and Milka Alpine Milk Chocolate 100g ( 0.5, US$0.80) are now 50% off.
