2 OMC LADIES AND GENTS FASHION GUIDELINES Dear Presidents, Trainers, Competitors, Jurors, These Guidelines were created to help the OMC member countries trainers, competitors and jurors to better understand the difference between the Fashion and the Technical categories. OMC would like to recommend to all competitors, trainers and jurors to bear in mind the principles of these two categories when creating competitions styles or presenting competitions seminars. Presenting the Ladies Fashion Style at a World Championship is definitely different from presenting a Fashion Style in a salon. The Fashion Style created for the World Championship can be compared to the highest Fashion Couture. Presenting a Gents Fashion Style at a World Championship can also be considered a high Fashion Couture, except that the Gents Fashion Styles must be kept in a commercial form and have a masculine look in design and color. The Technical Category is an artistic form, where the competitors show their creative and technical skills, especially in the Ladies Technical Combination tests: Creative Style & Hair by Night and in the Gents Creative Style & Classic Cut. The enclosed Fashion Guidelines Brochure was created to make sure that no competitor will ever be penalized. Therefore, OMC would like to suggest to all trainers and competitors to focus on fashionable hair styles that are not extreme in form and color. The OMC Board of Directors and Competition Directors Committees would like to congratulate in advance all member organization Presidents, trainers, jurors and competitors for their passion and cooperation in making the 2017 OMC World Cup in Paris the most successful championship to date.
