Fourteen small business owners and I shared our visions, our journeys and our plans for the future with the President and members of his team. I was thrilled with the opportunity to tell our story, and started at the beginning, some twenty years ago, when my husband Peter and I sold our first pairs of Dansko shoes out of the back of our station wagon. Today we are 185 employee-owners strong, changing the quality of people s lives through our products, our passion, and our commitment to a better tomorrow. As I traveled home to Pennsylvania, I felt both proud and inspired. Proud of the journey Dansko is on and inspired that, as a 100% employee owned company, Dansko will grow, broaden and expand in the very hands of the folks that brought it this far it s employees. Sustainability and shared prosperity for all has never felt more important. 3 INSPIRED BY... The Dansko Design Team shares their inspiration for the Spring /Summer 2013 styles Our goal is to expand Dansko offerings in terms of style, color and materials. Mirabel goes bold with saturated colors such as red and blue, Sophie and Sandi get a bit of bling with iridescent blue and the moray leathers. Dani and Donna can be found with new colors and materials. Spring 13 not only introduces new styles but offers fresh updates to continuing collections.
