4 Lot 537 A curated selection of Hermes handbags, including three Birkins and four Kelly bags, are showcased in September s auction of Designer Handbags and Fashion and promise to attract handbag collectors from around the globe. In total there are 23 Hermes handbags in the auction Louis Vuitton is well represented with a collection of rare handbags as well as a varied selection of vintage suitcases and modern accessories from the renowned Parisian fashion house. Once again, an impressive selection of Hermes silk scarves are on offer. More than 20 scarves are included featuring every design and colour a fashionista could want and several pieces are housed in their original boxes.

5 An exciting selection of 28 Chanel handbags are showcased, ranging from Classic flaps to more recent designs such as the Coco Boy Camera Case that was released in The handbags are complemented by a varied range of Chanel Boucle jackets, dresses and shoes. Lot 448

6 The following two lots are from the estate of Bernard Weatherill, MP ( ) In 1948, Bernard Weatherill became director of the family firm Bernard Weatherill Ltd, Sporting Tailors. The firm held the Royal Warrant for Civil, Military and Sporting clothes and made many sporting items for the Royal Family. Weatherill was elected Conservative MP for Croydon North East in 1964, and rose through the ranks to become Speaker of the Houses of Common in 1983; a post he held until 1992 when he was succeeded by Betty Boothroyd. He was the last Speaker to wear full dress robes. 7 402 An interesting collection of Royal clothing made by Bernard Weatherill to include the side-saddle apron worn by Queen Elizabeth II to the Trooping of the Colours in 1954, three pairs of Jodhpurs made and worn for Queen Elizabeth, dated 1933, 1935 and 1970 respectively, a pair of jodhpurs made for Prince Charles, dated 1958, all with handwritten labels identifying the wearer and the date, also a pair of black wool riding trousers for King George VI, to which is pinned an undated note reading Uniform overalls made for HM King George VI. The collection is accompanied by a handwritten letter by Bernard Weatherill MP, dated 1965, which states that the garments in this box were made by the firm for various members of the Royal Family and have been handed back to [me] as mementos (6)

8 Lots 403 to 447 form part of a larger collection belonging to a mother and daughter. The collection offers a curated selection of handbags, clothing and accessories that were amassed in the first ten years of the millennium and include examples by renowned designers such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dolce and Gabbana and Fendi. Both mother and daughter were particularly interested in collecting unusual and rare pieces. There are nine limited edition Louis Vuitton handbags on offer, including the highly collectible Graffiti Speedy tote designed in collaboration with creative director Marc Jacobs and the punk-influenced artist Stephen Sprouse. The pair were given VIP status from Dolce and Gabbana, allowing them to buy exclusive pieces not available to buy in store. Included in this collection are five unique demi-couture dresses, several of which have Dolce and Gabbana Special Piece labels. A striking red and black fox fur and crocodile handbag by Dolce and Gabbana is on offer, which is believed to be one of only four ever made.
