2 _ETHOS Finery is a design and manufacturing studio built specifically for Elevating the Uniform to a Craft for the hospitality industry.

3 _PHILOSOPHY Uniforms shouldn t have to be uniforms. We believe they should be a harmonious part of the guest experience. Just as architects are hired to design the frame, interior designers are brought on to bring the space to life and chefs are engaged to create inspired menus, the uniform is also an integral part of that narrative. Staff are the front lines of the guest experience. From the moment they pull up, to check-in, to dining, to having their rooms cleaned, their stay is largely informed by their interactions with staff. And if that staff does not look the part, you ve lost a moment within that storytelling experience. Finery does not believe in catalogues. In the same way that no interior designer or architect designs any two spaces the same, we also work on a completely bespoke level to match the brand identity, character and personality of each of our individual clients. Because that is what guests expect- a fully curated experience that reflects the highest standards of hospitality. 3

4 _APPROACH Finery is dedicated to crafting timeless classics combined with modern sensibilities. The studio was born from the need to infuse style into the traditionally uninspired homogeneity of the hospitality uniform. Finery provides bespoke uniform arrangements designed specifically for the particular needs of each of its clients with the ultimate goal being that its pieces are so well intentioned that staff will feel proud to be a part of a team. Look good, feel good, do good. Finery approaches its designs with a balance between style, functionality, sustainability and durability, ensuring each garment manufactured not only reflects an elevated expression of the traditional uniform, but one that also reflects its workwear heritage. 4

5 _TEAM Min Young Lee and Greg Sato draw from a multitude of influences to inform their design sensibilities, creating conceptual clothing arrangements reflective of the establishments that house them. Their uniquely distinct relationships with their heritage and past work experience help to balance form, function and aesthetic into every piece they design. Collectively, Sato & Lee have over 30 years experience working in various functions in the fashion industry. Having worked for major global fashion houses- both luxury and mass- as well as overseeing successful lines of their own, their background in design, manufacturing, marketing, branding, retail and sales provide a perfect template to translate to the hospitality space. Aesthetically, their story is told through the lens of architecture, design, typography, nature and travel, inspiring collections that always have a respectful nod to the classics. After stints in Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, Detroit and New York, both now reside in Los Angeles. 5

6 _BIOS Greg Sato Greg Sato serves as Head of Strategic Planning & Development at Finery. Sato graduated with a double B.A. in Communications and Japanese Studies from the University of California San Diego and spent broad swaths of time living abroad in Tokyo and Shanghai before returning to his native Los Angeles. Sato began his career in marketing functions within the editorial and music space before finding a home at FIJI Water overseeing their national event marketing program. It was here he discovered the perfect intersection for his passions - hospitality and marketing - finding much of the inspiration for what would eventually become Finery. Sato followed his time at FIJI with a move into the fashion world, overseeing global entertainment marketing for the iconic American heritage brand, Levis. He was closely involved in much of the product development, process and design, particularly on the launch of the 501 CT, which became the first time that Levi s ever updated their classic 501 jean. Sato launched his own men s accessories line, Gentry in The collection was carried at premier retailers around the globe, such as Fred Segal Man, American Rag, and Confederacy in Los Angeles, Odin in New York City, and Journal Standard in Tokyo. His experiences with Levi s and Gentry, helping to shape fashion and pop culture, has become a defining influence on his work within the hospitality industry. Min Young Lee Min Young Lee serves as Head of Design & Manufacturing at Finery. Lee honed her craft at Parsons School of Design in New York City with a BFA from the Fashion Design program. Soon after graduating, she worked for fashion houses Comme des Garcons, Jil Sander and Givenchy. Lee launched her eponymous line in 1997, M Collection Min Lee, which was quickly picked up by Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman and over 200 accounts worldwide. In 1998, she was awarded the Innovative Designer Award from InStyle. Lee opened her first brick and mortar retail space in 2000 on Prince Street in the Nolita neighborhood of New York City. The store quickly gained a reputation for carrying some of the most progressive and sought after designers. In 2004, Lee returned to her roots in fashion design when she was named Design Director for Elie Tahari. After successfully launching consecutive seasons to both critical and commercial success, Lee was appointed as Design Director of Calypso, launching their Gold Label again to great acclaim. In both roles, Lee also oversaw manufacturing throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia. In recent years, Lee has continued designing both her own collections of ready to wear fashion and home goods and also consults for various fashion houses. 6

7 _SERVICES CREATIVE CONSULTATION_ Finery works directly with its clients to deeply understand their overall creative direction. Through brand packages, concept mockups, mood boards and architectural renderings, the studio crafts bespoke looks that are an extension of the brand narrative of each property. SAMPLING_ Once creative is approved, Finery provides production quality samples of each piece for review prior to full manufacturing. MANUFACTURING_ Through its skilled network of manufacturers in Los Angeles and abroad, Finery oversees and manages all aspects of production, ensuring the highest quality control every step of the way. STYLING & TAILORING_ Upon delivery of the full production order, Finery can bring its team on site for a day of staff fittings. This service includes basic alterations so that each staff member fits their uniform perfectly. UNIFORM HANDBOOK_ Every client Finery works with is provided with a Fit & Style Guide for management to use ensuring all staff follow the exact specifications of their look. From the cuff of the sleeve to the placement of the tie bar, this visual manual provides the guidelines for maintaining exacting continuity. REPLENISHMENT_ Finery designs each uniform using its proprietary collection so that the reordering process is streamlined with short lead times, small minimums and an inventory that can always be replicated even years after initial delivery. 7

9 _Parker Palm Springs Palm Springs, CA Through its 70+ year history, the Parker Palm Springs has come to define resort luxury not only for its Los Angeles neighbors, but for the world over. It became the desert hideaway for celebrities and non-celebrities alike who were looking for an oasis. Its large grounds and meandering paths are a tranquil getaway from everyday life transporting you to a lushly landscaped whimsical playground. Our design goal was to capture the essence of its history, a promiscuous blend of periods and locales that make up the foundation of Parker Palm Springs. We worked closely with the Jonathan Adler team who have for the last 10 years oversaw the interior design of the space. Paying homage to the playful color palettes, the blending of eras and the attention to detail in every design element, the uniforms brought all these seemingly dissonant ideas into a harmonious blend of colors, fabrics and silhouettes. We were tasked with updating a look that was 10 years old to make it a modern reinterpretation of the interior design refresh. We stayed true to the one defining factor that has through the years turned Parker into an adjective: the pink blazer. We updated the color, fabric, fit and silhouette while still staying true to this defining piece that guests have come to know over the years. It was this piece we built the rest of the uniform program around. 9

11 _South Congress Hotel Austin, TX South Congress Hotel is located in the South Congress neighborhood of Austin. It is a pocket of the city characterized by the vibrancy and energy of its local community, one that has taken on its own identity separate to that of the larger city it resides in. The local residents- and visitors alike- are staunchly proud of their community as one with an identity grounded in neighborhood blocks vs. city area codes. Finery was tasked with not only reflecting the heart and soul of Austin, but that of the smaller neighborhood of South Congress. Austin as a city is very much at the heart a casual, laid-back city. Much of our inspiration was based in blues and navys paired with crisp whites and sharp tailoring to find a balance of highs and lows throughout the hotel and its 5 F&B concepts. 11

24 _PROCESS The Full Process. Finery does not have a Catalogue. We don t believe in them. Just like no 2 hotels or restaurants are the same, no two uniform arrangements should be the same. For that reason, we work on a bespoke level with our clients in designing a custom look specific to each property. The process includes the following path: _Mood Board Presentation with review and refinement _Full Looks Presentation with review and refinement _Sampling with review and refinement _Full Production _Styling / Fitting _Uniform Handbook _Reorders & Replenishment The Ordering. Finery manufactures to order. The studio holds a small inventory on customized pieces in order to facilitate smaller, immediate reorder needs. On garments that are more standardized across its properties (e.g. white oxford button downs, navy blazers, denim aprons), Finery will hold a substantially larger ready-to-order inventory. On all initial orders, we budget 2 par, 3 par and 25% inventory options to provide clients with a flexible ordering schedule. On all reorders, scaled pricing is provided on each garment based on the order quantity (See Page 25). Naturally, the higher the quantity per unit, the lower the price per unit. Finery can also pre-determine fixed pricing per garment once the design process is finalized. The Fee Structure. A Design Consultation Fee is part of the initial scope of work. This fee is for the creation of a fully bespoke uniform design concept for the property. It includes a multi-phased design, review, refinement, approvals process between Client and Finery to ensure the brand narrative is precisely told through the lens of the staff uniform. This may be different than what you are used to, but the results are nothing you ve ever seen out of a standardized catalogue. A Shipping Fee is part of the initial scope of work as well. To provide full clarity on all associated costs of the program, Finery does not build shipping costs into the overall Cost of Goods. Once the initial bulk order is placed, Finery will no longer charge shipping fees, only Cost of Goods. Client can also provide a shipping account # in lieu of this fee. The Lead Times. Sample Production is 4-6 weeks from approval Full Production is 8-10 weeks from approval Reorder Production is 4-6 weeks from approval Design Only Services. In certain instances, clients have requested only our design expertise, opting to manufacture our vision using their local vendors. This is often the case with non-u.s. based properties that are located in markets with less expensive manufacturing options. In these cases, we employ the same critical design path as laid out above, and instead of manufacturing ourselves, we hand off ready-to-go technical packages to manufacture locally. These technical packages are the DNA of any garment and contain all information needed to manufacture exactly to our specifications. 24
