A few years ago we introduced a range of injection moulded safety boots called Buckshot which used a new generation of higher temperature moulding technology which enabled us to offer lighterweight safety boots with a structural strength and integrity similar to Goodyear welted construction. Just as importantly we were able to include rubber outsoles in the specifications. From March 2016 onwards we will introduce the Buckshot 2 range - see pages which will feature some new styles and updated versions of existing styles on a running change basis, all with a completely new Buckshot 2 rubber outsole. As part of this process we will integrate the current popular Hybridz programme with the Buckshot 2 range on a running change basis - see pages 8-9. This means that over a period Hybridz will change over to injection moulded construction with Buckshot 2 sole and supertough antiscuff toe. Buckshot 2 will be followed in May by the latest developments in safety sneaker design in a brand-new Largo Bay collection - see pages 11 to 13. Look out also for a Buckler Boots signature product in a new guise - B301SM gets a weight saving makeover with a Buckler Boots K3 wave sole and punch hole effect cushion collar and joins our growing family of safety boots which feature our wider fitting steel toecap - see page 20. Specially for our agri/country dealers we introduce the new all-purpose non-safety neoprene/rubber wellington for ladies BBZ see page 27. 8 Sole Patterns OUR HEART AND SOLES At the very heart of a good work boot is a good outsole and there has never been a Buckler Boots style which hasn t featured rubber outsoles. For us there is no compromising, we can t see past rubber as the prime work boot sole material and we invest heavily in our own rubber outsole development programmes. Rubber is tough, durable, stays flexible in a wide temperature range and is abrasion, slip, heat (300ºC 60 secs ) and oil resistant. It also provides superior grip in nearly every conceivable working situation and is resistant to a number of chemicals. All the rubber outsoles you can see here have been developed by Buckler Boots. If you think you ve seen other soles which look a bit like them then it s probably because some of our competitors have seen and liked them too. K3 K2 Originally Buckler Boots signature outsole for Goodyear welted boot styles. Probably the toughest sole of its kind available. K2 put down new markers for strength and durability in work boot outsoles. Certified to SRA anti slip standard. The new generation sole for Goodyear welted leather styles and Buckbootz neoprene/rubber footwear. Features weight saving wave effect sipes and inherits K2 s rugged long life characteristics whilst also achieving maximum anti slip test certification. Looks good too. Largo Bay Sole Even when it comes to bringing the street look to the workplace we insist on real rubber outsoles but - our sneaker soles are different. Mindful of the need for some outsole dig in some working conditions, (even with sneaker style safety footwear) we have created a sneaker sole with pronounced cleats, wave effect sipes and a slightly raised heel area without sacrificing that great looking sneaker sole side profile. Comes with maximum anti slip test certification too. Clever and good looking. Buckshot 2 The most exciting Buckler Boots outsole development for some time. Buckshot 2 has been in the development process for over a year and is now introduced on our injection moulded Buckshot 2 boot range. It has some of the best antiabrasion test results achievable. 13 In 2008 Buckler Boots embarked on a challenge to create the first neoprene/rubber safety boot certified to full EN S5 standards. The product development and testing took nearly a year to complete before the EN S5 standards production procedures were introduced at the factory. The product was given the name Buckbootz and the code number BBZ 6000 which is now frequently abbreviated to BBZ. From its launch BBZ 6000 caught the attention of the U.K. s utilities sector.
