Color in balance, proportion, harmony, and emphasis. Color in textile art and design. Principles of good design: balance, proportion, harmony, and emphasis. January 14 rough April 15 Level II: Intermediate January 14 rough April 15 HANDBAG DESIGN Inspiration, design, construction and detail of handbags; soft structured and hard structured Prerequisite: Cloing Construction I or previous sewing experience January 14 rough April 15 ILLUSTRATION 6:00 pm - 9:15 pm Introduces students to multiple fashion illustration styles, as well as e application of a variety of rendering techniques and mediums, designed to explore e artistic expression of fashion for editorial and advertising. Prerequisite: Fashion Sketching I January 13 rough April 21 st Principles, techniques and practice in making patterns for women s garments via e flat (drafted) meod. Basic Level I: Skirts and Blouses/Beginners 7:45 pm 9:15 pm January 13 ough April 30 SPECIALTY DESIGN Advanced muslin patterns in junior, plus size, and maternity. Prerequisite: Construction and Patternmaking I & II, and French Draping I January 15 rough April 30 6:15 pm 9:15 pm SATURDAY BASIC FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY FOR THE DESIGNER Learn basic skills such as lighting, composition, styling, and posing to successfully execute a fashion photo shoot in our 5-week workshop. Students will need eir own digital or 35mm camera. The tuition cost for Basic Fashion Photography for e Designer is $330. February 21 st rough March 28 10:00 am 12:00 noon* * February 28 class will meet from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and March 7 class will meet from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm for studio/ on location lighting demos BUSINESS 101 9:00 am 3:30 pm Intensive four week workshop focused on starting a fashion business and e steps needed to create, produce and sell your line. This course will be taught by Lisa Micheels, designer and owner Very Eclectic Cloing. Lisa has been running her business for twenty years. The tuition cost for Business 101 is $660.
