3 SALÓN LOOK 2018 is the key meeting point in the beauty, image and aesthetics sector in Spain. In its last edition, the fair saw the participation of 391 exhibitors and more than 1,200 national and international brands. This unique event for the image and comprehensive aesthetics sector offered 14,471 square metres of innovative offerings and surprises, receiving visits from 64,510 national and international professionals from Brazil, the USA, Italy and Portugal, among others. HAIR LOOK FOCUS A stage designed for hairdressing companies, groups and associations to present the latest novelties and techniques. PASARELA Y PREMIOS FÍGARO An annual event that recognises photographic work from participating firms featuring the latest hairstyles in five different categories. The awards are handed out during the Fígaro Catwalk, a fabulous event that wraps up the activities of SALÓN LOOK by presenting the finalists collections. 3

6 AESTHETICS, AESTHETIC MEDICINE AND TECHNOLOGY AESTHETICS AND BEAUTY The aesthetics sector consolidated its importance at the event with the increase in the number of cosmetic and professional equipment companies. This annual event is the most relevant showcase for presenting all of the technological innovations in the aesthetics and beauty sectors, as well as their protocols and the techniques for the most innovative treatments. Aesthetics and Beauty has a hall dedicated entirely to the exhibition and parallel activities. 11TH AESTHETICS AND BEAUTY CONGRESS The 11th Aesthetics and Beauty Congress will be programming topical issues of interest to the sector, presented by internationally renowned speakers. MASAJES DEL MUNDO WORKSHOPS asajes del Following the success of this interesting and pioneering workshop last time, a new edition will be held. The main countries participating in SALÓN LOOK 2017 were Portugal, the United States, Romania and Spain. For the 2018 edition, professionals from other parts of the world will be visiting us to present their most innovative techniques and protocols. 4

AESTHETIC MEDICINE Since antiquity, techniques have been applied to maintain and promote aesthetics and beauty. The aims of Aesthetic Medicine are the restoration, maintenance and promotion of aesthetics, beauty and health. TECHNOLOGY BEAUTY TECH Innovation in the aesthetic industry is one of its main pillars of growth. And this is where equipment comes in. Equipment is a crucial element in the field of professional aesthetics and it is undergoing constant evolution, with the development of new light, ultrasound and electric current technologies. 5

8 MICROPIGMENTATION Micropigmentation is a speciality within the field of aesthetics that aims to enhance, correct or improve some of the body's physical traits. The Micropigmentation sector has an exclusive exhibition area and parallel activities. 3RD HISPANO-AMERICAN MICROPIGMENTATION CONGRESS The Hispano-American Congress on Micropigmentation will be the world s biggest event in Spanish focusing on micropigmentation. This market is currently on the rise and boasts top professionals. The congress is coordinated by the Spanish Micropigmentation Association (AEM) and presented by Mario Gisbert. HISPANO-AMERICAN MADRID SEPTEMBER 6

9 NATURAL COSMETICS A healthy lifestyle that benefits our skin without harming the environment or animals, is one of the foundations on which Natural Cosmetics is based. The reason? Caring for our body is important, but so is preserving the planet. Following this maxim, natural cosmetics promote a healthy lifestyle and the use of natural cosmetic products. SALÓN LOOK is an outstanding showcase for this trend that has a growing number of followers. 7

10 NAILS Manicure and pedicure services are a key component in the beauty sector's turnover. As it does every year, SALÓN LOOK will present the new offerings and content from the sector, as well as a wide range of demonstrations, making this area one of the most lively at the whole event. THE NAILYMPION The NAILYMPION proves time and again at each edition of SALÓN LOOK that it is one of its main attractions. Participants from across Spain, and from countries such as Brazil, Italy, Poland, Russia, Japan, Croatia, Argentina, Colombia, Serbia and Switzerland competed in the last edition. This championship is governed by the same standards worldwide, with the support of the International Judges INJA, who ensure that it goes smoothly and are responsible for fairly judging the competition. This prestigious international competition has become the leading Nails Championship in southern Europe. 6 a edition 8

11 MAKE-UP For make up artists, SALÓN LOOK is the ultimate scenario for presenting the latest trends in techniques, colours, textures and finishes. MAKE-UP CHAMPIONSHIPS The latest edition of the Make-up Championships will have a space at SALÓN LOOK. Participants from all over Spain with daring and innovative proposals will compete to be the best and show off all their creativity. 9

12 ZOOM AREA The ZOOM AREA is an exhibition formula where emerging brands and new product lines are presented within the trade fair. This tried and true exhibition model is located in a strategic area of the halls and features exclusive decoration. BUSINESS MEETING Friday s session will showcase entrepreneurs from the Beauty sector, distributors and wholesalers. The Business Meeting, a meeting space that will be reinforced by a series of lectures and presentations that are designed and created for this group in an ideal framework for the exchange of professional knowledge and experience, generating new business opportunities and expanding the network of professional contacts. 10

13 SALÓN LOOK AWARDS SALÓN LOOK will hold the prestigious SALÓN LOOK Awards a few days before its opening. In the last edition the ten winners, chosen from some thirty finalists, were Lewis Amarante, Best Professional Career in Beauty and Luis Miguel Vecina, Best Professional Career in Hairdressing; Mensajeros de la Paz-Pelobus, Best Charity Action; Idili Lizcano - Alqvimia, Best Business Project in Beauty and Narcís Oriol Quintana, Best Business Project in Hairdressing; Haute Custom Beauty, Best Salon Concept in Beauty and Maison Eduardo Sánchez, Best Salon Concept in Hairdressing; Flash Moda, Best Communications; Consuelo Silveira, Best Training Project in Beauty, and Cebado, Best Training Project in Hairdressing. In addition, two Honorary Awards were given to Felicidad Carrera and Alberto Cerdán, for their involvement in and personal dedication to the Beauty and Hair sectors, respectively. With these annual awards, SALÓN LOOK recognises the work of professionals and companies in the beauty sector, which, with their daily talent and work achieve an improvement in training, business management and dissemination in comprehensive aesthetics and image matters. The 2018 event will once again bring together the most well-known individuals. 11

14 INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PROGRAMME For each edition, in collaboration with STANPA and ICEX, SALÓN LOOK organises an international buyers programme, which allows professionals from target markets to be invited with the aim of making contact with the exhibiting companies. Buyers from Germany, Kazakhstan, Poland and Russia were welcomed to SALÓN LOOK In SALÓN LOOK 2018, we continue to progress with this interesting initiative by inviting buyers from reference countries for Spanish export products. 12
