2 Dear Community Friend, Hartford Fashion Week is approaching its second year and becoming an ever-more integral part of the arts and culture community of downtown Hartford. For years we have watched the city s fashion and textile industry make incredible strides without a platform to properly present their business. Our organization aims to and has proven to be this capable platform. After a strong breakout year including multiple venues, mass media coverage and sold out shows we are looking to double our numbers in this second year s events. Our inaugural 2015 season included cross marketed events at the Wadsworth, Real Art Ways, the Hartford Public Library and more. With this success we have been commissioned to bring fashion specials to exciting venues including the Mark Twain House. Our biggest night of the 2015 Fashion Week drew 400 people in attendance. Since then our social media accounts and brand have reached thousands. In total, we have reached over 175,000 fans via Facebook alone. Our 2015 event received reviews from the Hartford Courant, Waterbury Republican, Bristol Observer, Hartford Magazine, CTStyle and more. In fact, CTStyle and CT Fashion Magazine have already run preview pieces in eager anticipation of our 2016 event. To continue to bring this event to Hartford we are looking for support from the community. Unfortunately, our event is dependent upon revenue from ticket sales. With every bit of support we receive from the community we can lower the cost of tickets and bring in more attendees to this one of a kind event. We need your help to make Hartford Fashion Week come to life again this October. Assisting our growing platform will help to put a spotlight on an underappreciated industry in Hartford.
