3 MMD/UNIFORM/RC/ Date: 23 rd July 2014 Terms & Conditions of Contract Quotations exclusively submitted in the enclosed proforma will only be considered. 1. The Contract will be for one year. 2. A panel of vendors/suppliers shall be selected for rate contract. 3. The qualified suppliers to be empanelled initially for the period of one year and maybe extended further subject to annual revision, if their performance found satisfactory. 4. The Tender need to submit for all the items list mention in Price bid against estimated quantity. 5. EMD of unsuccessful bidders will be returned within 30 days after the award of the contract. 6. For successful bidder, EMD will be converted to security Deposit and will be retained with IIT Bombay till the expiry / termination of rate contract without interest. 7. EMD of a tenderer will be forfeited, if the tenderer withdraws or amends its tender or derogates from the tender in any respect within the period of validity of its tender. 8. Empanelment of vendors will be matching L1 for the bidders who are L1+ 20%. 9. The Empaneled suppliers will be abide by all the Terms & Conditions of the Tender Document. 10. The quote must be including stitching charges of the uniform & liveries.

6 Technical Bid 1. Required Cloth for shirts, pants and apron has to be of Raymond Company only. Details of each uniform are as follows : (a) Navy Blue Pant : Raymond Travin, Quality No. 01/530/02939, Shade No. 892 or 122. (b) Light Sky Blue Shirt : Raymond Cloth Quality No , Shade No.4, of 70/30 % terrycot and cotton (c) Navy Blue Apron : Raymond Travin, Quality No. 01/530/02939, Shade No. 892/122. Vimal/Garden Varelli or any other available brand (Range Rs ) : Plain white color with white blouse. 4. Measurement of all the staff for uniforms should be taken at IIT Bombay. Information for taking measurement must be communicated to the concerned section well in advance. 5. Delivery of the uniforms must be done within 120 days from the date of measurement at IIT Bombay. 6. Supplier must be required to give assurance regarding quality and color of the clothes.

7 7. The stitching should be of good quality with interlocking stitching pattern. 8. Material needs to be used for the stitching should be as mentioned below : (a) Thread made of Madura Coats only. (b) Zip made of Modi only. (c) Buttons of Paras and Press Buttons of Poni only. (d) All Uniforms must be embossed with the name IIT Bombay in bilingual i.e. Hindi and English. 9. All complaints related to fitting of uniform should be attended within a week, failing which appropriate amount will be deducted from the bill. 10. Single quotation for all the items will be preferred. However if any firm desires to supply part items such as shoes etc can also apply. 11. The supplier has to submit sample cloth to be used for uniform to IIT Bombay, along with the quotation. 12. No complaint regarding stitching of uniform or any complaint regarding quality of cloth or other material should be received from staff member. 13. If the complaint will received by staff member or NASA the Security Deposit will be forfeited and no payment for the material supplied will be made. 14. Empaneled suppliers will be required to provide various types of Uniforms and Liveries to all the eligible staff members of IIT Bombay including security. 15. It is mandatory to submit the original bills for purchase of cloths from authorised shop or factory outlet of Raymond only. 16. Institute reserves the right to send the sample of cloths for verification to the company concerned. 17. If the quality of product and service provided is not found satisfactory, IIT Bombay reserves the right to cancel or amend the contract. 18. Please visit Materials Management Division for samples. In the event of any dispute over this contract, IIT Bombay's decision shall be final and binding.
