Tang Dynasty, Circa 618 to 906 A.D., China 209 A Chinese Tang Dynasty pottery sculpture depicting a prancing horse with a finely dressed court lady seated on its back. This piece is accompanied by a thermoluminescence test certificate from Ralf Kotalla Laboratories, Haigerloch Germany, stating its age to be approximately 1300 years BP. Tang Dynasty, Circa 618 to 906 A.D., China 210 A very rare and important Warring States halberd shaped dagger-axe head known as a Ge. Made from copper alloy consisting of bronze and tin, with the axe head shaped in the form of a raven head with circular eyes in relief on the blade, the rear with an openwork figures depicting a tiger headed dragon, a central phoenix figure above a stylised snake. The blade with extensive Verdigris patina exhibiting built up traces of the original reed wrapping. A blade of this importance would have most likely belonged to a Lord or high ranking official. He collected many specimens from East Africa and supplied a large number of European Museums, including the British Museum in London.
