Estimate: Lot: 143 Pair of Chinese Palace Vases, the vases having a rich cobalt ground with elaborate hand painted Golden Pheasant amongst a garden of brightly coloured flowers (peony and chrysanthemum to the front and bamboo to the back). The shoulders decorated with floral and foliate design on an emerald ground. The neck and base feature key design borders. The vases adorned with two gilded salamanders with twin lions to the neck. The lip of the vases decorated with a complimenting floral and foliate design on an emerald ground. Both vases with Qing Long marks to base. Vase 1, 92 cms (36"), 143 cms (56") d, Vase 2, 94 cms (37") 138 cms (54.1/2"). Estimate: 1, , Lot: 144 Chinese 20th Century Pale Celadon Jade Vase, the vase of baluster form with white inclusion and dark speckling to the simple body. The vase decorated with a finely carved figure of a bird clasping a flower in its beak to one side and a blossom tree to the other. Dome shaped cover with shallow geometric design terminating with a lotus bud finial, 21 cms h (8.1/4"). Estimate: Lot: 145 Pair of Chinese Antique Double Gourd Repousse Lidded Urns, the urns having overall ornate vine leaf and fruit decoration set with jade, turquoise and coral stones, the vases resting on three melon shaped feet with vine leaf border. Stem Form Cover, 49 cms (19.1/2") 69 cms (27"), 47 cms (18.1/2 cms). Estimate: Lot: 146 Chinese 20th Century Pale Celadon Jade Vase and Cover, the vase encrusted with chrysanthemum flowers and leaves. The carver cleverly using the russet and amber inclusion to form petals. Natural russet and white inclusion to the vase body and supported on a stepped oval base.
