87 Marble Marble is a calcareous rock with a mid-range of hardness,formed by fine grain crystals. This composition contributes to a mirror-like polish finish, which is exceptional in store. It is suitable for internal use. Quartzite Quartzite has the same physical-mechanical features as granite. It has a high range of hardness, and is often used in external applications similar to granite, depending on the particular type. Quartzite is suitable for internal applications. Granite Granite is an igneous rock of volcanic origin and is composed of 30% of quartz and 60% feldspar, which give it a high range of hardness. It is very resistant to high wear, with superior abrasion resistance and compressive strength. It is available in a wide range of colours. Historically, it used to be available only in a homogeneous grain, now it is available in veined and patterned varieties. Granite is an excellent material and external building use because of its hardness and resistance to all types of weather. Travertine Travertine is a porous calcareous rock. Travertine may vary in colour from white to silver-grey, to yellow, red, and dark brown. Easy to work with; the surface is suitable for a honed, polished or antiqued finish. It is mainly used for internal applications; however, it can also be used externally in warm climates. Onyx Onyx is a calcareous material with a very fine, tight grain and many veins running concentrically into one another. This translucent stone is synonymous with luxury living and has been used to decorate the living spaces of the rich and famous. It takes a high polish which is part of its great beauty. Precioustone Precioustone is now available in large format slabs. It is made from many beautiful stones, including Quartz, Amethyst, Petrified Wood and Fossils. The slabs are 3 cm (11 4 ) and also 2 cm (3 /4 ) thick, which makes it very suitable for further fabrication. Each slab is a unique work of art from nature. Important precaution: the stone should not be placed too close to intense heat, or any place where there is a sudden change in temperature. For internal use only. Gemstone Rare gemstones, such Lapis Lazuli, Malachite, Jasper and others are now available in large format slabs which are 3 cm (11 4 ) thick. The gemstone veneer is hand selected from specimen pieces and comes with marble backing slab. These gemstone slabs create extraordinary bursts of colours. Important precaution: the stone should not be placed too close to intense heat, or any place where there is a sudden change in temperature. For internal use only. Shellstone Mother of Pearl is an organic gem formed from protective layers of calcium carbonate, which line the inside of the pearl oyster shell. This is the same natural process and material as the pearl and takes almost ten years to form. The beautiful iridescent colours you see in the mother of pearl are caused by reflective light bouncing off the various layers of the shell. The Shellstone Collection, made up of large scale panels of specimen pieces of mother of pearl, have been expertly laid out to take full advantage of the natural beauty of the shell stone.
