Compare for instance a similar, but larger, example of about 32cm in the Brooklyn Museum (Accession Number ). Attributed to Iznik, the Brooklyn example is dated to circa , and therefore may have been manufactured within a decade of Suleyman The Magnificent's reign which ended in A small Northern Sumatran Kris and scabbard, overall length 27 cm; together with a circular cash (possibly Chinese or Vietnamese), decorated with four characters, 10.5 cm diameter; and a Japanese alloy or antimony dish decorated with a kacho-ga of birds and flowers, about 12 cm square (3) Provenance: The Property of a Gentleman. Compare a watercolour of 1872 by Agnes Grace Cripps, also depicting a mountainous landscape, said to be Cherat in the Peshawar Valley, and listed by Christie's King Street.
