2 All the silver pieces in this booklet have been made by some of the finest craftsmen and women in the world. They have won our trade s most glittering prizes and we are very proud of them. Here is a small selection of those pieces. Whether they are one-off and unique or part of a collection, all of them are hand crafted in England using solid silver and hallmarked at the London Assay Office. We design and make original silver pieces all the time in our workshop and studio, above the store in the Fulham Road, so there is always something new to see. We hope that each of these pieces will be an object of pride and still give pleasure in hundreds of years time. 19 ENGRAVING For over twenty five years we have had one of the world s best hand engravers performing his magic in our workshops, here in the Fulham Road above the flagship store. As well as older masters, our engraving designs are also brought to life by some young masters, including the winner of our Apprentice of the Year Award, as we continue to encourage brilliant young talent. Between them all they have engraved everything from the most complicated scenes imaginable to some of the most prestigious trophies in the world. Crests, signatures, messages, intricate images, facsimile writing and photographs; engraving of this calibre can turn the simplest of pieces into something personal and extraordinary and create a present that will be remembered forever.
