THE DELHI THE RECAP The 5th edition of DJGF 1 brought over 300 exhibitors to connect and create business with jewellery manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers, importers and exporters in North India.

To gain traction, a series of road shows in the cities of Lucknow, Ambala, Jalandar, Chandigarh and Amritsar also played the role of a catalyst for Delhi.

This was a unique report brought in association with Avalon Global Research to bring gems & jewellery industry to the mainstream and expand its horizons.

Opportunities abound in this vertical that is not only fast growing but also export-oriented and labour intensive, deeming India the hub of the global jewellery market.

Young millennials with disposable income seek to purchase innovative and bespoke designs for aesthetic rather than for purely investment purposes.

While still at a nascent stage, the opportunities for growth for the organised retail jewellery market in India are unlimited.

2 THE DELHI THE RECAP The 5th edition of DJGF 1 brought over 300 exhibitors to connect and create business with jewellery manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers, importers and exporters in North India. The three-day trade show received an overwhelming response from the Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra, among others. To gain traction, a series of road shows in the cities of Lucknow, Ambala, Jalandar, Chandigarh and Amritsar also played the role of a catalyst for Delhi. An exclusive launch of the second edition of India s Leading Retail Jewellery Companies, was organised alongside the inauguration ceremony. This was a unique report brought in association with Avalon Global Research to bring gems & jewellery industry to the mainstream and expand its horizons. As we are all aware, the Gems and Jewellery sector is a key contributor to the Indian economy, accounting for around -7 per cent of the country s GDP.
