This was done on the request of the Scout Executive. This patch has square corners S-3a S-3a S-2j st of at least 9 varieties of this patch. Red letters, bright turquoise border. This patch was for all lodge members. No limit on how many you could buy. Also known as the Ordeal flap patch. S-7 S-7 S Not a design change. Same as the S-6. Oversized flap patch. Known as a Technicolor flap. Red letters, silver mylar border. This patch was for brotherhood and Vigil Honor members only. Limit of 3 per year S-8 S-8 S Not a design change. 4 S-9 S-10 S Not a design change. Same as the S-6. Known as a Technicolor flap. Patch was down sized to fit the uniform pocket. Blue letters, red W.W.W. s. White chain stitch in border. S-10a S-11 S-9a 1983 Not a design change. Same as the S-6. Known as a Technicolor flap. Blue letters, red W.W.W. s. Blue chain stitch in border. Left W above cloud. S-10b S-11 S-9b 1983 Not a design change. Same as the S-6. Known as a Technicolor flap. This blue border patch was considered the Ordeal flap patch. Blue lettering red W.W.W. s, no restrictions on how many you could buy. Left W into cloud. About 600 of these patches were made and sold for $2.50 S-11a S-12 S Not a design change. Same as the S-6. Know as a Technicolor flap. This gray border patch marked the return of the brotherhood flap patch. Blue lettering, red W.W.W. s. Limit of 3 a year to Brotherhood and Vigil Honor members. Left W above cloud. Approximately 250 of these patches were made and sold for $2.50. S-11b S-12 S Not a design change. Same as the S-6. Know as a Technicolor flap. This gray border patch marked the return of the brotherhood flap patch. Blue lettering, red W.W.W. s. Limit of 3 a year to Brotherhood and Vigil Honor members. Left W into cloud. Approximately 250 of these patches were made and sold for $2.50. S-12 S-13 S Not a design change. Same as the S-6. Known as a Technicolor flap. This gold color border patch marked the first time the lodge issued a Vigil flap patch. Blue lettering, red W.W.W. s. Limit of 2 a year to Vigil Honor members only. Exactly 100 of this patch were made and sold for $ /25/ Navajo Lodge

5 Fake varieties of this patch exist. S-13 S-9 S Not a design change. Same as the S-6. Last of the Technicolor flaps. This turquoise border flap has red lettering and W.W.W. s. There were approximately 600 of these flaps made and were sold for $2.50 S-14 S-14 S rd major design change. Was changed largely doe to the fact that the lodge totem was lost in the background, and the cost of making the previous patch became prohibitively high. 1 st of 7 borders of this patch. This was also known as an Ordeal flap patch. This design was knows as the nuclear, silhouette, or desert night background flap patch. Error made in design of the lodge totem. 1 too few red and yellow triangles on each side of the thunderbird. No limit on how many patches you could buy. Approximately 400 of this patch were make and sold for $2.50. S-15 S-15 S Not a design change. Same as the S nd of 7 borders of this patch. This patch was known as the Brotherhood flap patch. You could purchase 1 at each lodge sponsored Brotherhood activity you attended. Approximately 300 were made and sold for $2.50. S-16a S-16 S-14a 1986 Not a design change. Same as the S rd of 7 borders of this patch. This patch was known as the Vigil flap patch. You could purchase up to 2 each year at a Vigil activity. New Vigil honor inductees were given 1 at their induction. Approximately 100 were made and sold for $5.00. S-16b S-16 S-14b 1986 Not a design change. Same as the S- 16a. 100 patches from S-14, S-15, and S-17 had their borders ripped and made into 50 of the S-16b and25 each of the S-18, and S-20. 6 S-17 S-17 S Not a design change. Same as the S th of 7 borders of this patch. This patch was known as the Service flap patch. You could receive 1 patch for every Lodge or Chapter service project you participated in. Approximately 250 were make and given away. S-18 S-18 S Not a design change. Same as the S th of 7 borders of this patch. This patch was for past lodge chiefs. You received 1 for having served as a Navajo Lodge Chief. Approximately 35 of these patches were made and given away. S-19 S-19 S Not a design change. Same as S th of 7 borders on this patch. This patch was for past Lodge and Staff Advisers. You received 1 for having serving as a Navajo Lodge Adviser or Navajo Lodge Staff Adviser. Approximately 35 of these patches were made and given away. S-20 S-22 S Not a design change. Same as the S th of 7 borders on this patch. This patch was known as the Founders Award Flap Patch. You received 1 of these for having received the Founders Award, or being Arrowman of the year, or Adviser of the year. Approximately 35 of these patches were made and given away. S-21 S-20 S Special issue flap patch. This flap patch was issued for the 50 th anniversary of the founding of the lodge. Lettering color was as follows; red Navajo Lodge, Gold mylar 98 & Flour-de-leis, Black W.W.W. s & dates. 3 looms of this patch were made and sold for $ /25/ Navajo Lodge

7 S-22a S-21 S-20a th major design change. 1 st of 2 varieties of this design. Design error in thunderbird not corrected. Design changed for two reasons. 1 st to get away form to many borders on one design, and 2 nd to get more color into the patch. The sun and yellow in the thunderbird are yellow. Flour-e-leis is cross-stitched into background. 4 looms of the patch were made and sold for $2.50. S-22b S-21 S-20b 1988 Not a design change. 2 nd of 2 varieties of this design. The sun and yellows in the thunderbird are golden in color. Flour-de-leis is cross-stitched into background. 4 looms of this patch were made and sold for $2.50. S-23 S-23 S Special issue flap patch. Patch was made for delegates to the 1988 NOAC. Lettering was red except for NOAC & 1988 which were blue. 200 of this patch were made and sold to delegates for cost of $1.25. S-24 S-24 S Special issue flap patch. Patch was made for the 75 th anniversary of the founding of the Order of the Arrow. Has the National 75 th emblem in the center of the patch with the lodge totem in upper left hand side. The totem has black outline. Flour-de-leis is cross-stitched into background. 600 of this patch were made and sold for $3.00. S-25 S-25 S Special issue flap patch. Patch was made for the 1990 NOAC. Same as the S-24 flap patch. No black outline on totem. Foreground is lighter brown. Red NOAC at bottom of patch. 8 S-26a S-26 S Minor design change. 1 st of 2 varieties of this patch. Added Silver and white cloud with 3 yellow lightning bolts. Corrected the design error in the thunderbird. Flour-de-leis is crossstitched into background. Back has very thick plastic that caused the patch to curl. This patch was made in Taiwan and may have a sticker on the back to denote this. 600 of this patch were made and sold for $2.50. S-26b S-26 S Not a design change. 2 nd of 2 varieties of this patch. Major difference between this patch and S-26a is how flat the patch lies. There is a lot less plastic on the back. 600 of this patch were made and sold for $2.50. S-27 S-27 S Special issue flap patch. Top part of a 2-part patch set used to raise money to pay for the transportation of youth members to NOAC. The bottom part is X-7. Flour-de-leis is cross-stitched into background. 300 sets were made and sold for $ S-28 S-28 S Special issue flap patch NOAC flap patch. Lettering red except for W.W.W. s, which are dark blue, and gold B.S.A. 600 of this patch were made and sold. 380 for $2.50 and 220 for $1.25. S-29 S-29 S th major design change. 9 S-30 S-30 S Special issue flap patch National Jamboree issue. Oversized patch. Top part is rolled edge in white and bottom o patch is cut edge. Large eagle wrapped around traditional lodge totem. Approximately 200 were made and sold to members attending the National Jamboree. S-31a S-31 S Not a design change. Same as the S-29. The only difference between this patch and S-29 is that the flour-de-leis is cross stitched into background. 550 were made and sold for $2.50. S-31b S-31 S Not a design change. Same as the S-29. The only difference between this patch and S-31a is at the very top of the patch where there is a small difference in the clouds and edge. 800 of this patch were made and sold for $2.50. S-32 S-32 S Special issue flap patch. Part of a two-part patch set. Oversized flap patch Flour-de-leis cross-stitched into background. Bottom part is X-8. Sold in sets NOAC fund raiser patch set. Money raised from sale of sets used to pay the transportation cost of youth members attending NOAC. 400 set made and sold in sets for $ S-33 S-33 S Special issue flap patch. Part of a 3- part patch set. Other parts are X-9 and X-10. Set issued to celebrate the 20 th anniversary of the opening of Holcomb Valley for Summer camp. Funds raised from sale of set used to offset the cost of repairing the camp swimming pool that was damaged in the Big Bear earthquake. 500 set mad and sold for $ /25/ Navajo Lodge

10 S-34 S-34 S Special issue flap patch. Part of a 3- part patch set. Same as S-33, except for the mylar border. Bottom parts of this set are X-11, and X sets were made and sold for $ sets disappeared from Council Office # s S-35 S-35 S Special issue flap patch NOAC flap patch. Special totem design. Flour-de-leis cross-stitched into background. 400 patches made and sold. 300 sold to delegates for $1.25, and 100 to lodge members for $2.50. S-36a S-36 S Not a design change. Same as the S- 31a. This is a lodge service patch. 50 were made and given away. 50 of the S-31a borders ripped and replaced with gold border S-36b S-36 S Not a design change. Same as the S- 31b. This is a lodge service patch. 200 were made and given away. S-37 S-37 es Special issue flap patch. Known as a ghost patch. Patch is totally white. Issued for the lodge memorabilia auction that was use to raise funds to build a climbing tower in Holcomb Valley. 200 were made and given for a donation to the lodge auction or sold for 1-4 $10.00 each, 5 or more $8.00 each. 10/25/ Navajo Lodge

11 S-38 S-38 S Special issue flap patch. Known as a ghost patch. Patch is totally turquoise. Issued for the lodge memorabilia auction that was use to raise funds for camp improvements in Holcomb Valley. 200 were made and given for a donation to the lodge auction or sold for 1-4 $10.00 each. S-39 S-39 S Special issue flap patch. Top part of a 3-part patch set made and sold for a fundraiser for 1996 NOAC to pay for airfare for youth members attending. 300 sets made and sold for $15.00 for 1 set, or $14.00 a set if you buy 2 or more sets. Has the traditional lodge totem off to the lower left of the patch with a stylized thunderbird in center. S-40 S-40 S Special issue flap patch NOAC delegates flap patch. Will fit in the 1996 NOAC fund-raiser in the same place as the S made, 360 sold to delegates to NOAC for $1.25 and 390 sold for $2.50. Has a thunderbird similar to the 1994 NOAC delegate flap. S-41 S-41 S th major design change for Lodge Flap patch. Very basic design with traditional Lodge Totem on flap with only the words Navajo 98 on patch. Termed back to basics Flap patch of these patches were made and sold to active members for $2.00 at Lodge activities or meetings, or $3.00 at the Council Office. Sold to nonactive members or non-members for $ /25/ Navajo Lodge

12 S-42 S-42 S Special issue flap patch. This flap patch is part of a set of 3 patches that have a similar design to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Navajo Lodge. The other patches are the 4-inch round for the 60th Anniversary Reunion Pow Wow and the 60th Anniversary Back patch of these patches were made and sold to active members for $2.00 at Lodge activities or meetings, or $3.00 at the Council Office. Sold to non active members or non members for $5.00 S-43 S-43 S Special issue flap patch. Known as a ghost patch. Patch is totally red. Issued for the lodge memorabilia auction that was use to raise funds for camp improvements in Holcomb Valley. 200 were made and given for a donation to the lodge auction. An additional patch could be purchased for $10 for each donation of 3 different lodge flap patches. S-44 S-44 S Special issue flap patch. Issued for the 1997 National Jamboree. Same design as the 1993 Jamboree flap with a change to a Silver Mylar border. 350 patches made and issued. Sold for $3.50. S-45a S-45 S th major design change for Lodge Flap patch. Design based on the special issue S-33, and new Council CSP patches made and issued. Sold for $2.50. S-45b S-45 S nd issue of the S-45a. Minor differences in colors due to manufacture. No color changes were ordered. Border is slightly lighter, and lettering is slightly thicker patches made and issued. Sold for $ /25/ Navajo Lodge

13 S-46 S-46 S Special issue flap patch. Known as a ghost patch. Patch is totally yellow. Issued for the lodge memorabilia auction that was use to raise funds for camp improvements in Holcomb Valley. 200 were made and given for a donation to the lodge auction. An additional patch could be purchased for $10 for each donation of 3 different lodge flap patches. S-47 S-47 S Special issue flap patch NOAC delegates flap patch. Same design as the S-45 lodge flap patch. Red NOAC 1998 at bottom, and the same thunderbird design as on the last 2 NOAC delegate flap patches. 300 made and sold for $2.50. S-48 S-48 S Special issue flap patch. Known as a ghost patch. Patch is totally lavender. Issued for the lodge memorabilia auction that was use to raise funds for camp improvements in Holcomb Valley. 200 were made and given for a donation to the lodge auction. An additional patch could be purchased for $10 for each donation of 3 different lodge flap patches. S-49 S-49 S Special issue flap patch. Issued to commemorate the 25 th summer camp at Holcomb Valley. Same basic design as the S-45 flap patch. Patch has 10 colors. Sold in sets with X sets were made and sold for $10.00 over the counter and $8.00 at lodge events. S-50 S-50 S Special issue flap patch. Known as a ghost patch. Patch is totally pale green. Issued for the lodge memorabilia auction that was use to raise funds for camp improvements in Holcomb Valley. 200 were made and given for a donation to the lodge auction. Proceeds used to defray cost of airfare for youth delegates to NOAC. 300 made and sold for $3.00 to lodge members, and $4.00 to non-lodge members. S-52 S-52 S Special issue flap patch. Issued at the 2000 W4B conclave. Each lodge member attending received 1 and had the opportunity to purchase extra at cost plus. Has W4B Service Y2K in red letters at bottom of patch. 300 patches made. S-53 S-53 S Special issue flap patch. Issued as part of a 4-patch set for Section W4B to defray cost of Conclave. Cost preorder $20 at conclave $ sets made. S-54 S-54 S Special issue flap patch. Issued to delegates attending 2000 NOAC. 500 made and sold for $1.25 for first 20 to delegates to NOAC, $2.50 after. Lodge members could buy 20 at $2.50. S-55 S-55 S Special issue flap patch. Issued for the fall 2000 lodge auction. For a donation of 3 flaps you received 1 and the opportunity to buy 1 at $10. Issued for attendance at the lodge annual dinner. Received one for attending, could buy extras for $1.50, or 4 for $ make S-59 S-59 S Special issue flap patch. Known as a photo chromatic patch. Issued as a fundraiser for the 2002 NOAC. Appears to be white until it is put in the sunlight, and then it shows color.
