1 A few notes about PDF patterns from.... This PDF pattern requires legal size paper (8.5 x 14 ) or A4 size paper (8.27 x 11.69, 210mm x 297mm). It will not print on standard letter. Patterns containing larger pieces will need to be taped together before cutting out the fabric. Be advised that this document needs to be printed to it s original scale. 3 Fabric and Notions Feeling Steamed For 17 Vinyl Evangeline Fabric Notions Satin, Silk, brocade or similar weight fabric, silk essence for lining 7-8ct. #4 snap sets, tiny button, card stock, glue gun, trim for hat General Instructions Layout and cut all pattern pieces, following the grain line indicated on pattern. Seam allowance is ¼ and is already included within the dimensions of the pattern. Unless noted otherwise, you will use this seam allowance throughout construction. Waxed thread is recommended for hand sewing RST = Right Sides Together, WST = Wrong Sides Together Bustier 1. RST sew bustier side front pieces to bustier front. Clip seams and press. 2. RST sew center back seam. Clip seam and press open. 3. RST sew bustier side back sections to bustier back pieces. Clip seams, press open. 4. RST sew front sections to back sections at the side seam. Clip seams and press open. 5. Repeat the above steps with the bustier lining pieces. 6. With right sides together, pin the lining to the bustier. 7. Sew all around the outer edge, leaving an opening to turn the garment through. 8. Clip seam, turn garment right side out and press. 9. Fit bustier to doll. Mark placement for snaps. 10. Sew on snaps and finish with tiny buttons or seed beads if desired. Skirt 1. RST sew skirt back section to skirt front at the side seams. Press seams open. 2. Prepare ruffle by sewing both sections together. Press seams open. 3. Hem lower edge of ruffle. 4. Run a gather stitch across the top edge of ruffle. 5. Pull gathers to fit the bottom edge of the skirt. 6. RST pin skirt ruffle to skirt and sew in place. 7. Run a gather stitch across the top edge of the skirt section. 8. Pull gathers to fit waistband. 9. RST pin waistband to skirt and sew in place. 10. Zigzag or serge both back openings. 11. Sew skirt together at the center back seam from hem to dot. 12. Turn the left back opening under ¼. 13. Fit to dolls waist and finish with snaps. Coat 1. RST sew coat front sections to coat front side sections. Clip seams, press open. 2. RST sew center back seam of coat. 3. RST sew coat side back sections to coat back section. Clip seams, press open. 4. Sew front section to back section together at the shoulder seam. Press seam open. 5. Fold sleeve cuff ruffle in half right side out. Press. 6. Gather cuff ruffle to fit sleeve edge. Pin in place and sew. 7. Press seam upward. 8. Pin sleeve to armhole edge and sew in place. 9. Sew front to back coat sections together at the side seam.

4 10. Fold pocket in half RST. Sew side seams leaving the top open. 11. Clip seams, turn pocket right side out and press. 12. Fold upper edge of pocket under ¼ and hard press. 13. Pin pocket to coat front as indicated on the pattern and sew in place. 14. Fold collar ruffle in half right side out. 15. Run a gather stitch along the rounded edge of the collar. 16. Pull gathers to fit neck edge of coat from front seam to front seam. 17. Pin collar to coat and baste in place. 18. Repeat construction steps with the coat lining pieces. 19. Turn sleeve edge of coat lining under ¼ and press. 20. RDT pin coat lining to coat. 21. Sew all the way around the outer edge of the coat leaving an opening in the hem to turn. 22. Clip seams, turn and press. 23. Hand sew hem edge opening closed. 24. Baste sleeve lining to sleeves. 25. Fit coat to your doll, mark position on snaps and sew in place. 26. Finish with tiny button accents if desired. Hat 1. RST sew center back seam of hat brim. Press seam open. 2. RST sew both hat brim sections together. Clip seams turn and press. 3. Slip card stock hat brim form into the hat brim. 4. Clip fabric on the inner circle of the hat brim to the card stock. Press up. 5. Place hat crown form in the center of the hat crown fabric and press the fabric edges over form. 6. Use Elmer s glue or a glue gun to secure fabric on form, making sure that one short edge is pressed over form to create a smooth back seam. 7. Place hat top form in the middle of the hat top fabric, secure in place with a little glue. 8. Clip seams of fabric around the edge to the form. Press seams to center. 9. Starting at the center back edge of the hat crown, glue the outer edge of the hat top to the hat crown. 10. Glue or sew center back seam. 11. Position hat crown on hat brim and glue in place from the inside. 12. Take second hat crown card stock piece and insert it inside the hat. Glue in place to finish 13. Decorate hat as desired.
