2 Apparel Overview It s becoming trendy to claim Made in USA in today s political climate. We agree, Made in USA should be a big deal, and we hope to see more of it. That was our thinking back in 2013, when we made the transition away from a mix of imports and domestic apparel, to 100% Made in USA apparel. In 2013 it wasn t trendy and most would ve considered it risky. AKWA went all in anyway, and decided our identity would be based exclusively on Made in USA. As we start our 28th year, we are proud to boast that all of the items in this catalog are Made in USA. We are proud to be one of the few to choose that course of action. We store the fabric, we cut the fabric, and we have numerous sewing contractors in L.A. County that do all of our sewing.
