4 Uniform Correct AIS school uniform purchased through Lim Meng Keng Department Store (#02-18 Holland Road Shopping Centre (above Cold Storage), 211 Holland Avenue Singapore ) is to be worn to and from school. Students are required to follow the school dress code and present themselves appropriately. Early Years Shirts Navy striped Preschool shirt Shorts/Skort Grey school shorts Grey school skort Shoes Students may wear their own sandals, shoes or sneakers, provided that they are suitable for outside play and climbing (no Crocs or thongs/flip-flops) School bucket-style hat, must be worn for outside play School Bag Navy AIS school bag, free from graffiti. House shirts are worn for Gross Motor and school sports programs and for school carnival events Appropriate running shoes must be worn, not skater shoes e.g. Vans or Converse Hair Above collar length Earrings are not to be worn Fully tied back if shoulder length Hair ties, headbands and clips must be navy, black or white in colour Earrings are to be plain small round gold/ silver studs or small round sleeper earrings to be worn in ear lobes only, one earring per lobe No make-up or nail polish to be worn School Bag Navy AIS school bag, free from graffiti. Black socks if wearing long trousers Regulation plain black leather school shoes must be worn. They must be clean and polished. Black runners are not permitted as school shoes. Students are not permitted to wear the jumper around their waist The school PE uniform is to be worn for all PE lessons. House shirts may be worn for PE lessons, as advised by PE staff, in all PE lessons and school carnival events. It will only be returned at the end of each term. Students will need to collect this from the Secondary Secretary Tattoos must be covered at all times. They are not to be visible to the school community. Students are advised not to get a tattoo during their enrolment at AIS Navy AIS school bag, free from graffiti Each year the school has several mufti days which often follow a theme. Regulations and themes are variable, but students are required to dress appropriately (no singlets, mid riff tops, short skirts or shorts). Enclosed shoes must be worn for all practical classes Students are expected to be dressed in the correct AIS uniform at all times. If a student reports to the Head of Year office in incorrect uniform, a note must be presented by the parent. Correct uniform applies to student outside of the school when they are in the Singapore community. * A grey tie is to be purchased and worn by School Captains and Student Action members. Please note the Year 12 Senior Jersey is not a part of the AIS School uniform, however it may be worn during the examination block periods, while the students are sitting their examination papers.
