Emerald and Amethyst and Ruby Team Hairstyle In this packet of information you will find the required hair style for each level of company and team as well as the required make up for the performance and competition season. All dancers will be required to have their supplies by their first performance: Gift and Hobby show / Demo Day. It is important that the hair styles and required make up look is practiced prior to performance. It is our goal that all of our dancers look professional, put together and uniform. Page 1

Make- Up Tools: Foundation sponge Powder Brush Blush Brush Eye Shadow Brush Make- Up Remover Wipes Foundation, Cover Up & Powder: Any brand in dancer s skin tone. Blush: MAC Breath of Plum Sheertone Lipstick: MAC Diva Matte Eye Lashes: MAC 34 Lash Amethyst & Emerald Dancers do not need false eyelashes or glue. Eye Lash Glue: Any brand. Mascara: Any brand in Black. Eye Shadow: Revlon Colorstay 16 hour eye shadow in moonlit. Eye Brow Pencil: Any brand in color of dancer's eyebrows Eye Liner: Any brand for upper, lower eyelid & inner eye. Suggested products are below. Upper Lid: Revlon Colorstay crème gel eyeliner in black Lower Lid: Revlon Colorstay liquid eye pen in black Inner Eye: MAC Eye Kohl in fascinating (white) Setting Spray: Any brand. 4 Topaz, Sapphire & Diamond Hairstyle Step 1 Step 2 TIE THE- KNOT BRAIDED BUN Step 1: Separate Hair into two equal sections with clear elastics. Step 2: Braid each section. *Tip before pinning braids; spray the bobby pins with hairspray for better hold. Use Spin Pins to secure braids. Step 3: Wrap braids around each other in a figure 8 to create the bun and pin with bobby pins that match your hair color. Step 4: Spritz with hairspray for hold, then add hairpiece to left side. 5 Emerald Hairstyles Competition Hairstyle: Dancers will have their hair in the Piggie Pigtails Set for their competition Tap, Jazz, & Emerald Large Group routines at all competitions and IDA performances. Hair must be purchased at: Step 1. Create two small buns at the top of the head. Make sure hair is smooth going into the buns. Step 2. Push bottom and top comb up into bun. Step 3. Now pull elastic string tights and wrap / tuck under the hairpiece. Step 4. Secure Pigtails set with hairpins and bobby pins. Step 5. Finish with hairspray and hair accessory. Other Emerald Hairstyles for IDA Performances: Emerald dancers will need to change hairstyles for certain class dances for IDA s Holiday Hoopla Performance & Recital. These hairstyles / class dances are: High Bun: Mini Emerald- IDAC Ballet 1/2 Petite Emerald- IDAC Ballet 2/3 High Ponytail: Petite Emerald- Tap 2/3 Ruby & Amethyst Hairstyle Performance & Competition Hairstyle: Low ponytail Step 1: Create center part in hair. Step 2: Smooth hair to head and pull back hair into low ponytail. Step 3: Secure with a hair tie that matches dancer s hair color. Step 4: Finish with hair spray. Other Amethyst & Ruby hairstyles for performances: Amethyst & Ruby dancers will need to change hairstyle to a bun for ballet class dances that are participating in IDA s Holiday Hoopla Performance & Recital.
