1 Storm Dance Alliance Nutcracker Costume Requirements 2014 Dear Parents & Dancers: Show preparations are quickly rolling along, and we are ready to begin photos and finalizing our show. We are so proud of how hard the kids are working, and are getting excited for opening night. Please make sure that you have all of the necessary shoes, tights, hair, and makeup items before Picture Day, Sunday, November 9th, It is recommended that each child has at least two pairs of tights for all of the pictures and performances. You will be responsible for transporting your personal items and costumes to the auditorium for dress rehearsal. Costumes will be sent home with you after photos. If you lose any part of your costumes, your child may not be able to perform, and you will have to pay the full amount to replace it. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ANY COSTUMES HOME during show week for any reason once you have brought them to the auditorium. 9 Make-up and Hair for all Female Dancers: Hair: Use a Hairnet, GEL, AND HAIRSPRAY on all Buns... (Can be purchased at Wal-Mart/ Walgreens etc.) Match to hair color as close as possible. No Wispy hair will be allowed Please use a fine tooth comb to do your bun. Please Use a Hair Donut to Create Your Bun. Talk to the Teachers if you need help with this. Donuts can be purchased at Claire s, Sallies, and usually Ulta. They come in a variety of sizes for the amount of hair you have. Make-Up: (Make-up should be SLIGHTLY lighter for photo day, but darker on show days.) 1. Eye Shadow: Pretty Browns/ Dark and Light, any brand is fine. NYX Love In Rio LIR 15 Bossa Nova is a good example. Can be purchased at Walgreens, target, etc. 2. Lip Stick: Superstay 24 Hour Lipstick by Maybelline in All Day Cherry (#80) 3. Lip Gloss: Maybelline Color Sensation 080 Gleaming Grenadine 4. Mascara: Waterproof Black any brand is fine 5. Blush: Pink (Any brand is fine) 6. Eyeliner: Color-Onyx/Very Black by Mary Kay or any other or any soft black eyeliner... no pencils and no liquid please. No Eyeliner on pre-school age dancers 5 and Under non company) 7. Please use foundation that matches your child s skin tone before putting on the above make-up. Blend carefully into hairline and neckline. A light dusting of bronzer is usually necessary at this time of year as well. Thanks Competition Companies: Please do last year s high bun and use this year s company make-up. Make sure you have on eyelashes for all pictures and performances. Non Company do not need to wear eyelashes, unless you know how to put them on. :)
