Dr Patience has has been practicing in the cosmetic field since 2011 and has attended numerous courses and workshops in Australia, New Zealand, USA and Korea. He is a member of the Australasian Dento Facial Aesthetics Association and also the International Fellowship in Advanced Aesthetic Science. THREADING Ageing causes a loss of fat around the cheeks, eye area, jowls and the neck, as well as a loss of elasticity in the skin. This results in a longer face and wrinkles due to the support of the skin not being able to provide much support. Threads are placed under the skin to tighten and lift loose, sagging areas of the face to reduce the effects of gravity, ageing or to rejuvenate the face. The threads will generate collagen, providing support for the skin, tightening and preventing it from sagging. The skin will also generate hyaluronic acid which helps the skin become more moisturised, revitalised and firm with a long-lasting result. Resurfacing threads are used more for tightening, collagen boosting and a small amount of lifting.
