10 Guests of The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Georgetown, Washington, D.C. must be 18 years of age or older to enjoy Spa services. Spa services are available to younger guests when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Spa facilities, including locker rooms, shower; steam room, dry sauna, fitness center, and relaxation lounge are available to Hotel guests and Spa costumers. AT TIME OF RESERVATION Spa Concierge will reserve treatment times and assist with selecting treatments. Please notify the Spa Concierge if you have high blood pressure, allergies, physical ailments, disabilities or are pregnant. All prenatal massages will be performed after the first trimester (there are a few services that should be avoided during pregnancy especially on the first trimester, but many that can be enjoyed). If you prefer a male or female therapist, please make your gender request when scheduling your treatment. ARRIVAL TIME For your enhanced comfort and relaxation, we suggest you arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled treatment to allow time to enjoy the lounges, saunas, steam rooms. Arriving late will limit the time for your treatment, thus decreasing its effectiveness and your pleasure. Your treatment will end on time, so that the next guest is not delayed. The full value of your treatment will still be charged if you arrive late. Guests of the Spa can enjoy: + The Fitness Center + Complimentary valet parking. Each Spa service can be enhanced by a routine that includes: + Aroma Sense shower with Vitamin C + Dry sauna + Detoxifying session in the steam room TREATMENT RECOMMENDATIONS Shaving is recommended but not necessary for men prior to a facial. If you choose to shave prior to your facial, be sure to allocate at least two hours between shaving and your appointment. Shaving is not recommended prior to body treatments or hair removal services. Most body treatments are enjoyed without clothing, however, disposable undergarments are available by request. During all treatments, the body is fully draped except for the area being worked on. Robes are provided in the ladies and gentlemen s lounges before and after treatments. The slippers are provided at check in with our Spa Concierge. This is your time and you should delight in the experience to the fullest. Your therapist will ask any preferences in the room temperature, the amount of massage pressure or the volume of the music. Please notify your therapist of any discomfort. food and beverage You are not allowed to bring any food or alcohol into the spa. Please inquire with our Spa concierge regarding the food and beverage menu options available inside. USE OF ELECTRONIC DEVICES We request that cell phones and pagers be turned off while in the Spa. If you are a guest of the hotel, please leave valuable items in your guest room safe. Otherwise, lockers are available for your personal items. Departing the Spa Please be sure to check out at the Spa front desk before you depart. We accept all major credit cards. You may also charge services to your hotel bill. Prices and services are subject to change. SERVICE CHARGE A 20% service charge will be added for each spa service you receive. Additional gratuities may be offered at your discretion. CANcEllation Policy If you must reschedule or cancel your spa appointment, please notify us 24 hours in advance of your scheduled time to avoid being charged a full service fee.
