2 Tartan Minerals was founded by Caroline Sanderson Director at Ego Hair Design in Inverness and Carla Zebrowski the salon Client Manager. Our mineral makeup range was born from a frustration of availability in our local area, a desire to get an exact match to our unique skin tones and with our daughters in mind. This is our story... Caroline Says: We both have different preferences when it comes to makeup, for example I use mineral powder and Carla prefers liquid foundations, Carla likes liquid liner and I like pencil so we wanted to create a makeup brand of products that catered for a broad range of preferences but in keeping with our core values. A bespoke individual, Organic Vegan* makeup brand with no animal testing that is suitable from teens to golden years that our local community can benefit from. *The only product on our range that is not Vegan is the lipstick as it contains bees wax however a Vegan formula is currently in development. That s where Tartan Minerals with its Unique Blending Experience was born. You can have your own unique shade created bespoke to you with added vitamins to aid skin care. As well as creating a great product we wanted others to benefit from it so created our Artists and Gurus opportunities and Parties Carla Says: When we set out to create our own makeup range I agreed it had to be as natural as possible, something I would be happy for my 2 daughters to use when they get to that age. I was initially not sure about minerals as it was not something I had used before and thought of it as a product for mature skin. How wrong was I! After researching and trying products from all over the world and helping create our unique mineral range I am now a converted mineral makeup fan and love how it gives an airbrushed look to skin. I am so excited about minerals now I wouldn t use anything else. I still choose liquid foundation in the mineral range plus liquid liner. I knew the range needed to have core products to appeal to a younger more fashion conscious client as well as having the natural element. Our Tartan Minerals Definition A mineral makeup brand born in the Scottish Highlands. Offering the individual their own distinctive shade of mineral make up through bespoke blending and palettes. Tartan being associated with bespoke design to clans is exactly what our mineral makeup range offers. Although the minerals used in our products are not sourced from the Highlands the brand was most definitely born in Scotland by Highlanders Page 2
