2 in-cosmetics Asia s 10 th anniversary celebrated with over 10,000 visitors The tenth edition of in-cosmetics Asia welcomed a record 10,302 personal care creators from around the world representing an increase of 17% compared to Highlighting the importance of the event to the APAC beauty and personal care industry, visitors arrived from a total of 69 countries with a third travelling from outside Thailand. Among those in attendance were some of the world s top manufacturers including Amorepacific, Beiersdorf, Colgate Palmolive, Estée Lauder, Johnson & Johnson, L Oréal, Procter and Gamble, PZ Cussons, Shiseido and Unilever. They gathered to see 416 of the industry s leading ingredients suppliers, with AkzoNobel, Ashland, Clariant, DSM Nutritional Products, Evonik, Lonza, Momentive and many start-ups showcasing novel innovations from around the world. Visitors were able to attend over 50 free educational sessions split across the Formulation Lab, Technical Seminars & Marketing Trends Theatres, and to discover 47 newly launched ingredients at the Innovation Zone. There was also a Spotlight On the booming trends of Natural Extracts, Colour Cosmetics and Facial Masks with corresponding educational sessions and product areas. Following on from the success of in-cosmetics Asia 2017 we look forward to in-cosmetics Asia 2018, which will take place at BITEC, Bangkok on 30th October - 1st November Key Statistics Total unique visitor attendance: 10,302 (+18% vs 2016) Day 1: 4,879 Day 2: 3,208 Day 3: 2,215 Total visits (incl. re-visits): 14,675 First-Time Visitors I sold 22 tons of ingredients at the show! I have exhibited at 28 events in the course of my career and this one is the alltime best. I have worked in the industry since 2011, but every day at the show was a constant learning experience. 7 What areas could visitors explore? INNOVATION ZONE This year 47 newly launched ingredients were showcased on the Innovation Zone. Located centrally within the exhibition hall, visitors used the zone to discover the latest products and innovations. FORMULATION LAB A key stop for formulators and bench chemists was the Formulation Lab. This gave chemists a chance to get practical formulation training and tips and advice direct from suppliers. SPOTLIGHT ON To help visitors stay ahead of their competitors, three brand new Spotlight On areas featured at the show. Focussing on facial masks, colour cosmetics and natural extracts, they displayed dozens of ingredients specific to these growing trends. TECHNICAL SEMINARS 29 presentations took place in the Technical Seminars Theatre. They covered a range of developments in products including preservatives, peptides and emulsifiers. It was the visitors chance to learn the latest formulation and R&D solutions. MARKETING TRENDS AND REGULATIONS PRESENTATIONS Visitors got up-to-date with the latest trends and discovered what the future holds for regional and global markets. Our expert speakers shared insights, statistics and case studies to help visitors create marketing strategies and plan winning products. MINTEL PRODUCT DEMONSTRATIONS Mintel gave visitors a unique opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of products and services that covered personal care across all stages of life. Their talks were in three categories: Alpha Generation (anyone born after 2010), Millennials and Senior Beauty.
