3 Please note: Avoid extreme temperature changes. Rapid temperature changes (e.g. when the trimmer is moved from freezing temperatures to a warm room) may cause condensation inside the unit and a malfunction when it is switched on. In this case, leave the trimmer at room temperature for at least 1.5 hours before switching it on. If the trimmer has been in transit, leave it indoors for at least 1.5 hours before use. Important Safeguards Please note the following instructions when using the trimmer. Please observe these instructions in order to prevent damage to the unit or danger arising from improper use Please read through the following safety instructions carefully before switching on the trimmer. Before plugging the trimmer into the mains electrical supply check that the voltage indicated on the product corresponds with the voltage at the mains electrical socket. The trimmer is designed for domestic use only. Never use the trimmer in the bath, shower or over a wash basin filled with water. Do not use the trimmer with wet hands. Do not immerse the unit in water or let it come into contact with water, even during cleaning. Do not drop the trimmer. Always disconnect the power supply unit if the trimmer is not being charged or used. Do not use the trimmer if its component parts (power supply cord, plug etc.) are damaged. Do not attempt to repair the trimmer yourself. Contact an authorised service centre for qualified inspection and repair. The trimmer can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the unit in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the trimmer. Do not open the trimmer under any circumstances. No warranty claims will be accepted for damage resulting from improper handling. Features This trimmer has the following functions: Precise hair cutting at a width of 38mm Precise beard trimming at a width of 30mm Hair or beard trimming with various cutting lengths (4, 8, 16mm) at widths of 38mm or 30mm Thinning out hair Close shaving Nose hair trimming Using your trimmer Remove the protective cover. Switch the unit ON. Hold the shaving heads close to the skin for an efficient and comfortable shave. After shaving, switch OFF the unit, clean it and then replace the protective cover. Charging your trimmer Rechargeable battery operation When operating the trimmer with the built-in nickel metal hydride battery, only use the power unit supplied for charging. Check that the voltage indicated on the type plate of the power supply unit corresponds to your local power supply.

4 Notes Charge up the batteries completely before you use them for the first time or if you have not used them for a long time. Charging time is 7 hours when the trimmer is switched off. If you switch on the unit while it is charging, charging will stop. The charging display will no longer light up. The ambient temperature should be between 5 C and 40 C. When fully charged, the unit works for around 45mins. It is recommended that you do not recharge the batteries after each use, especially if you do not use the appliance for the full 45 minutes. Charge the batteries at your convenience only when they are completely discharged. This will increase their service life. Avoid charging every day. 3. Place a towel around the neck and shoulders of the person whose hair you are trimming. 4. Make sure that the person is seated so that his/her head is roughly at your eye level. 5. Before trimming, comb the hair so that it falls naturally and you can see the direction in which it grows. 6. Press the ON/OFF button to switch on the trimmer and start using. 7. After use, press the ON/OFF button to switch off the grooming unit. Beard Trimming Using the medium trimmer (Width 30mm) Using the charging unit 1. Plug the socket of the trimmer into the charging unit. 2. Plug the power cord into the socket on the charging unit. 3. Plug the power supply unit into the wall socket. Using your trimmer Hair Cutting Using the stainless steel large trimmer (width 38mm) 1. If necessary, remove the by pressing in both side catches and lifting off. 2. 5 Trimming hair or beards to a certain length Using the comb s (designed for thinning out hair) Using the shaver Comb 16mm Comb 8mm Comb 4mm 1. Notes: Do not apply strong pressure when shaving as this could damage the single blade foil. You can remove the single blade foil from the shaving. To do this, press both side catches on the shaving. Clean the blade head with the cleaning brush supplied. Using the nose hair trimmer 3. Push the comb carefully and firmly onto the rounded rear half of the cutting head from above and let it click into place. 4. Press the ON/OFF button to switch on the trimmer and start using. 5. Press the ON/OFF button to switch off the trimmer after use. 6. After use, remove the comb by pressing the locking tab at the back. 1. If necessary, remove the by pressing in both side catches and lifting off. 2. Insert the nose hair trimmer carefully at the top and press down until it clicks into place. 3. Press the ON/OFF button to switch on the trimmer and start using. 4. Press the ON/OFF button to switch off the trimmer after use. Use the same procedure for trimming ear hair and shaping eyebrows. 6 Cleaning and care Switch off the trimmer and unplug the power supply unit from the mains electrical supply. Remove the and clean the blade head with the brush supplied. If cleaning with the brush is not sufficient, rinse the under running water. However, only do this once the has been removed. Do not use cleaning agents. Note Remove all clippings after each use. Environmental note This product has been made from high-quality parts and material, which can be re-used and recycled. Therefore, do not dispose of the product along with normal household waste at the end of its service life. Take it to a collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. This is indicated by this symbol on the product in the operating manual and on the packaging.
