2 Product Information It is an emollient designed to act like the body's natural lipid layer and hold in the moisture that the body constantly creates. Solubility of Ethylhexyl Triazone Although the maximum solubility of Ethylhexyl Triazone in Emolid CC is up to 15 % compared to synthetic emollients, after 1 week, the solution with Emolid CC remained absolutely clear without any re-crystallization, unlike synthetic solutions, where crystals started to grow. SPF Booster Effect An in-vitro SPF study was performed on sun care oil formulations with different emollients, including Emolid CC, to compare the SPF booster effect. SPF variation was measured in function of the emollient used in the formulation, where always was maintained the same amount of sunscreen filters. Based on BASF Sunscreen Simulator, theoretical SPF is 30. The results have shown that Emolid CC, when added, increased the SPF of the formulation.
