Hemera Signature Clinical Facial (60 minutes) $70 Enjoy this luxurious 60 minutes treatment that begins with relaxing aromas, deep cleansing, steam and warm towels. After a professional skin analysis, the aesthetician will customize this facial treatment to your individual needs and concerns. We follow with a custom face/neck and decotle exfoliation and extractions. This Hemera Signature Clinical facial is completed with a light moisturizer for your skin and finish up with a magnificent algae soft mask containing optimized blends of marine minerals and amino acids to develop firm, younger and healthier looking skin along with a great neck and shoulder massage. 2 About Peels: Chemical peeling is an accelerated form of exfoliation created by acids that produces a controlled injury to the skin. Superficial chemical peels induce a faster sloughing of the cells. Whereas deeper chemical peels travel past the epidermis, some even reaching the outer layers of the dermis. Following a peel, the body responds to the injury by initiating the healing process. Collagen remodeling is the primary reason chemical peels improve sun-damage and reduce wrinkles. Glycolic Acid peel 30 minutes It is the smallest of alpha hydroxy acids. It is used to improve the skin s appearance and texture; it reduces wrinkles, acne scarring, and hyperpigmentation and improves many other skin conditions. Glycolic acid is derived from sugar cane. The acid rapidly penetrates into stratum corneous and dissolves the dermasomal between cells. It removes the top layer of skin, forcing the skin to renew itself. $50 per session $250 package of 6 Prozyme Enzyme Treatment (add on) $15 To eliminate the dead cells that is left on the surface of the skin. (Papain: It is a cysteine protease present in papaya (carica papaya). It is used in cosmetics as a peeling agent to increase skin turnover.) Mandelic Acid Peel 30 minutes Mandelic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid that is made from bitter almonds. Due to its anti-bacterial properties, this naturally derived acid has a variety of medical and pharmacological uses. Like other alpha hydroxy acids, mandelic acid has skin benefits such as it increases skin cell turnover by dissolving the tiny bond that hold skin cells together, allowing dead skin cells on the surface of the skin to be sloughed off more quickly to reveal healthier cells underneath. Mandelic acid and other alpha hydroxy acids also soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improve skin texture. At the same time, they lighten areas that have darkened in response to skin damage and sun exposure. According to the study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, mandelic acid was as effective as glycolic acid for treating fine lines and wrinkles and other signs of sun damage, including blemishes. $50 per session $250 package of 6

3 About Microdermabrasions: Microdermabrasion is a light cosmetic procedure that uses a mechanical medium for exfoliation to gently remove the outermost layer of dead skin cells from the epidermis. It is a non-invasive procedure and may be performed in office by a trained skin care professional. Microdermabrasion is a fairly simple, painless, and non-invasive skin rejuvenation procedure using a combination of a fine abrasive tip or crystals and vacuum suction applied to the skin. The vacuum pressure and speed are adjusted depending on the sensitivity and tolerance of the skin. Microdermabrasion is often compared to the feeling of cat licking the skin---rough by gentle texture. Typical microdermabrasion sessions can last anywhere from 5-30 minutes. There is minimal to no recovery time after each session; makeup and non-irritating creams can usually be applied within a few hours or right afterwards. Microdermabrasion may be performed to help diminish the appearance of superficial hyperpigmentation, and photo-damage, as well as diminish fine lines, wrinkles, acne and shallow acne scars. A further benefit of microdermabrasion is enhanced skin penetration by other skin creams and serums. Removing dead skin (stratum corneum of the epidermis) will aid in the penetration of skin care products and medications by up to 10-50%. The controlled skin exfoliation affected by microdermabrasion will allow makeup and self tanning products to go on much more smoothly. Microdermabrasion treatment carries minimal to very few possible side effects or complications. However, some patients may experience temporary mild dryness, sun sensitivity, and rarely temporary bruising or scratches in the area of skin treated. 4 Propeel The progressive peel (45 mins) $255 The Vivant propeel system is a safe, medium-dept peel containing a combination of lactic acid, salicylic acid, citric acid, and trichloracetic acid. It is suggested for the treatment of wrinkles, photo damaged skin, acne, melasma, and hyperpigmentation. Lactic acid: A hydrating AHA derived from sour milk. Salicyclic acid: a phenolic phytohormone and is found in plants with roles in plant growth and development; it is the key for the treatment of acne, psoriasis, calluses, corns, keratosis, pilaris and warts. Citric acid: Found in citrus fruits, citric acid increases the hyaloronic acid content in the dermis and epidermis, helping the skin attracts and hold moisture more effectively. Trichloracetic acid: Considered a medium strength acid (TCA) when used in concentration of 10 to 40%, it yields extremely good results in chemical peels. It clears away dead skin layers that may block acne infections. Also used to chemically exfoliate age spots, fine lines, scars, and hyperpigmentation. Propeel is more of a chemical peel than glycolic peel for a deeper more effective peel. Propeel can be repeated once a month, or alternated with microdermabrasion. ****Approximately after seven days of facial peeling, the client will come back for an express mini clinical facial treatment to clean up all the excess dry skin from the peel at no additional charge. This will take about 30 minutes.
