4 Professional Hairdressing & Barbering Training NVQ Level 2 Award in Change Hair Colour Covers a range of techniques such as; weaving, full head, pulled through & re-growth application of colour. (must have experience or hold a VRQ Level 2 Award in colouring). Times Start Date Observations weeks 6-9pm *AOR NVQ Level 2 Award in Perm and Neutralise hair 3 observations which will consist of two full head perms and one part head perm, covering winding techniques such as; nine section, brick and directional. Times Start Date Observations weeks 6-9pm *AOR NVQ Level 2 Award in Cut Hair Using Basic Techniques Covers a range of cutting techniques such as; uniform layer, graduation, with a fringe, without a fringe, with a parting, without a parting, around the ear outline and with a fade. 5 Covers a variety of plaiting techniques such as; multiple cornrows, french plait, fish tail plait, two-strand twists and flat twists. 6-8 weeks Times 6-9pm Start Date *AOR Observations 4 Intermediate Apprenticeship in Barbering Daytime Hairdressing To complete the Framework Apprentices will be required to complete Employee Rights and Responsibilities, Functional skills (if required), PLTS, essential knowledge for theory and practical observations. Apprentices will complete the following units; Develop and maintain your effectiveness at work Advise and consult with clients Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp Cut hair using basic barbering techniques Cut facial hair to shape using basic techniques Dry and finish men s hair Change men s hair colour Give clients a positive impression of yourself and your organisation Times 1 Year Min / Start Date *AOR funded, 19+ employer contribution *All our courses are available throughout the year and are Available On Request. 8 Professional Hairdressing & Barbering Training NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing 2 evenings To complete the NVQ Level 3 Diploma, you will be required to complete essential knowledge for theory and practical observations. You will complete the following units; Monitor procedures to safely control work operations Promote additional services or products to clients Provide hairdressing consultation services Creatively cut hair using a combination of techniques Colour hair using a variety of techniques Provide colour correction services Creatively style and dress hair Creatively dress long hair Develop and enhance your creative hairdressing skills/support client service improvements Times Start Date 44 weeks 6 9pm *AOR 2, Refresher courses Basic cutting techniques, advanced cutting techniques or long hair work This one day course is designed to improve existing skills and teach new skills. Ideal to refresh your knowledge and learn new skills if you have been out of the hairdressing trade for a while. 11 Health & Safety Courses IOSH Managing Safety VAT 4 Day The IOSH Managing Safety course can be delivered flexibly one day a week or over four or five days and offers health and safety management basics. The course is full of step - by - step guidance, and with a sharp business focus, highly innovative format and content to inspire delegates - critical to getting essential health and safety messages across. Who needs this qualification? - This course is designed for managers and supervisors, of any organisation or sector, and any organisation. It is designed to get managers up to speed with the practical actions they need to take to handle health and safety in their teams. CIEH Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace VAT 3 Day CIEH Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace is run as a 3 day course. The course enables managers and supervisors to improve the health and safety culture of their organisation, whatever its size or activity. Who needs this qualification? - Everyone working in a supervisory position. First Aid Courses CIEH Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work VAT 1 Day Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work is run as a 1 day course. The course includes a practical assessment and an examination consisting of 15 multiple choice questions. Who needs this qualification? - The CIEH Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work may be more suitable for lower-risk work environments, such as offices and shops and/or organisations with fewer than 100 employees.
