4 APRIL CATALOG LETTER FROM SAZAN Hey babes! This time of year is so gorgeous! Every year I m so amazed at all of the beauty this season brings. From blue skies and sunshine, to rain and blooming flowers, April is always bursting with life. I always have a renewed sense of wonder for the environment. So, for this month s Bless Box, I took a little inspiration from Mother Nature. April is the perfect time to enjoy all of the blessings that have been waiting to bloom all Winter. Now that the harsh weather is over, and the rainy season has begun, it s time to shower yourself with all of the fresh opportunities that this season has to offer. I want you to feel energized, refreshed and ready to take on whatever this year brings! I ve selected my favorites in organic beauty and skincare, luxury bodycare, and sprinkled in a little glam to make sure that you feel beautiful, confident, and wonderful from your roots to the tips of your fingers. Now that the pace of life is picking up, and the days get longer, it can be so overwhelming to keep track of everything. Falsies add the perfect amount of drama and heighten just about any eye look. These lush lashes are layered for extra fullness and each lash has a tapered end for an ultra natural look. Plus, they're handcrafted using 100% silk material for a high-gloss finish. Once you try them you ll see why they re one of my favorites! Saz Tip - To clean your lashes, gently pull any excess glue from the band. Then take a Q-tip dipped in non-oil based makeup remover and carefully swab at the band to remove any remaining makeup or glue! When you re done, put the lashes back in their case to dry. You don t have to be a false lash expert to rock a pair of falsies! My foolproof method for applying lashes is to the use tweezers, and allow the glue to dry for a few seconds and become tacky before applying the strip to my lash line. If the band is a little uneven, don t panic! Just even out the line with some liquid liner. If we make sure to take care of the Earth now, we can make it a beautiful and safe space for the next generations. Having lush green trees and grass is something we can really take for granted, so it s important to make sure we re doing what we can to preserve the blessings of nature! 1) 3) Plant a Tree Trees not only look nice, they also help filter out pollutants in the air! Plus, they give off oxygen, so it s a win-win to take a little time and plant a tree! Whether you re planting it in your yard or working with a local group to revitalize a green space, the benefits of clean air and beautiful scenery are totally worth it. Volunteer Want to do more? Look up local environmental groups in your area and put in some volunteer time! Even if it s something as small as working at a plant drive, or helping to clean up a stream, every little thing helps! 2) 4) Join A Community Garden If you don t have the space at your own home to plant a garden, joining a community garden is a great way to test out your green thumb while building community! Look up local community gardens in your neighborhood and see how you can contribute. Recycle This is a super simple way to make sure that you re taking care of the planet! Instead of throwing away plastic, metal, or glass...recycle! Extra waste like this can negatively impact the soil, water, and air around you, so taking the extra time to rinse out and sort your recycling can make a huge impact on the world around you. It really is the little things! 10 14

13 Compost 5) 6) We create sooo much unnecessary food waste! Instead of just tossing extra scraps from cooking, put them back into the environment and start a little compost station in your home! You can use compost to enrich the soil in your garden and you ll lessen your environmental impact by reducing the amount of trash you re getting rid of each month! Even if you don t have a garden, many waste companies now have a composting option, so while you re not using the compost, you re still making sure it goes back into something useful. Green Your Commute Do you drive to work every day? Now that it s spring, and the weather is getting better, look into ways that you can make your commute more green and efficient! Ride your bike, take a walk, try out public transit, or set up a carpool with your co-workers. You ll get the chance to test out a new routine for the season and lessen your carbon footprint. 7) Re-Use What You Can Instead of getting a new paper cup every time you go to the coffee shop, buy a cute reusable mug! This will reduce your paper waste and prevent landfill build up! I also love a good reusable water bottle -- you ll remember to drink more water throughout the day AND you won t have to use a ton of cups or toss those flimsy bottles away all the time. 8) Go To A Farmers Market Buy local! Farmers Market s are cute and their organic produce is sooo good for you. Plus, supporting local farmers will help the local economy and ecosystem (and there s nothing better than a huge bouquet of fresh flowers). 10) Get Outside Enjoy the outdoors! You ve done all this work to make sure that you re doing what you can for the earth, take a little time to appreciate the world around you.
