Demand for qualified stylists and therapists extends from local to global, providing true flexibility for a career you can take to a specialised level, travel with and work around family commitments. We are a Wella Centre of Excellence and benefit from highly trained staff and terrific facilities in our on-site salon and spa. Our hair and beauty classes are taught by staff who work in the industry, who have up-to-date knowledge and host work placements. Plaza Hair and Beauty runs on commercial principles so you will enter the workplace with plenty of business experience. FEE FREEZE! 2012 prices on all courses * * Excludes L3+ provision for learners aged 24+ who take out a loan for their training. Listed fees indicate the full cost of the course *. However, you will be eligible to apply for a 24+ Advanced Learning Loan. FEE FREEZE 24+ icon indicates courses that are eligible for this Loan. These courses may have a higher fee than stated due to changes in government funding. This would be payable back once your annual income is above 21,000 per annum. 3 HAIR & BEAUTY 2 Level 3 Certificate in Swedish Massage Code: Start date: 26/09/2013 Time: 6-9pm Duration: 34 weeks Fee: 375 1/5/6/7 VRQ Level 3 Certificate in Indian Head Massage Code: Start date: 17/09/2013 Time: 6-9pm Duration: 14 weeks Fee: 195 1/5/6/ NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Nail Services Code: 8783 Start date: 18/09/2013 Time: 1-9pm Duration: 34 weeks Fee: /4/6/7 This course provides a professional qualification in Swedish massage. It covers health and safety, anatomy and physiology, legislation and body massage techniques. Assessments include practical tasks, research and exams. You must have a minimum of four GCSEs including English to apply. This course provides a professional qualification in Indian head massage. It covers health and safety, anatomy and physiology, legislation and Indian head massage techniques. Assessments include practical tasks, research and exams. You must have a minimum of four GCSEs including English to apply. This professional qualification covers topics such as manicures, pedicures, nail art and nail extensions. These are supported by units in health and safety, anatomy and physiology and customer service. Students have the option to fast-track if they already hold qualifications in level 2 Beauty Therapy to complete the nail art and nail extensions element only. VTCT Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Code: Start date: 12/09/2013 Time: 9.30am pm Duration: 36 weeks Fee: /4/6/7 This qualification covers health and safety, facials, manicures, pedicures, make-up, tanning, waxing, customer service and reception duties. This will enable progression into employment or onto a full-time course in make-up artistry, beauty or spa therapy. Attendance is two days a week. C&G NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing NEW Code: Start date: 11/09/2013 Time: 9.30am pm Duration: 36 weeks Fee: /4/6/7 This qualification is two days a week for over-18s. It could be a progression from a current level 1 qualification in hairdressing or could be a refresher for people who undertook a level 2 and have not used their skills for many years. It covers all aspects of cutting, colouring and styling as well as reception duties and health and safety. This could lead to progression on to level 3. Attendance is two days a week. Cutting Men s Hair (C&G Level 2) Code: Start date: 05/03/2014 Time: 6-9pm Duration: 15 weeks Fee: 280 Perfect your skills with this level 2 City & Guilds unit that covers cutting men s hair into basic styles. You will produce both classical and modern fashion looks and gain the confidence to cut different hair types, creating one-length and graduated cuts. This is aimed at students who already have a Level 2 NVQ/VRQ in hairdressing. All information correct at time of print

NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Barbering NEW Code: Start date: 11/09/2013 Time: 9am pm Duration: 36 weeks Fee: 900 1/4/6/7 A hairdressing NVQ is for anyone who is serious about having a hairdressing or barbering career. Gain the skills you need to work in a hairdressing salon or barber shop from shampooing and cutting to demonstrating skills to others. There are options to suit individual needs and aspirations you could learn techniques to start or develop your career in the industry.
