This years sale offering includes both red and black bulls with impressive performance genetics expressed as EPDs. Many of our long term customers tell me our EPDs work like no one else's. They buy their bulls using our EPDs with confidence; selecting their bulls with emphasis on traits to match their goals and their cowherds. The offering includes bulls from several contemporary groups making it hard to compare one against the other without the use of EPDs. The offering includes a couple bulls raised as orphans, a group that spent most of their preweaning life in dry lot on grass hay in an embryo facility, and several out of first calf heifers. Some of the highest performance genetics in the Limousin breed are offered in this sale as well as a bunch that should work on first calf heifers. 3 WE SELL GENETICS We, Bruner Limousin, sell genetics. Genetics combining calving ease with high performance. The big feed bucket will not make your calves grow faster. Blue ribbons will not make your calving season easier. We build and sell genetics, total performance genetics. Genetics that provide calving ease combined with high performance first and foremost. We match those traits with fertility and docility to build bulls excelling in producing profit. Forty years ago we stated a breeding program to combine calving ease and growth rate. One without the other didn t make cents. Along the way we increased the scrotal size for enhanced fertility in both the bull and the heifers. We improved the docility, just because we needed too. Most importantly, we raise our cattle under the same conditions as our customers. We measure performance to identify those that excel under the conditions of our customers. You don t select corn hybrids from an irrigated test plot if you are a dry land farmer. Why would you select bulls from an enhanced feeding program? At times I have been called a technocrat, questioned on the use of new science, or any science, to produce better cattle. That s OK. We do not work or live in the Stone Age. We adopt any science or technology that will improve our ability to produce better genetics faster and provide them to our customers. His daughters are outstanding with early puberty, great udders and excellent disposition. Dispositions like this are virtually unmatched. We've shown several his offspring at the Sioux Empire Farm Show and the Black Hills Stock Show. His bull calves had the highest ADG in our mid-winter wts, exceeding high growth trait leaders Jager and Warrior. His calves are moderate framed and big hipped.

We have used him extensively on our Angus cows with tremendous success. The vast majority of our Lim-Flex cattle have him in their pedigree. The bulls have moderate+ frame with above avg. muscle and lots of growth. His daughters are long bodied, very broody and have nice udders. We keep many of them as replacement females. He is a big ribeye bull and nearly all his Lim-Flex sons and daughters are positive for REA EPDs making them unique in the world of Lim-Flex. The best way to express my thoughts of his calves is that we'll be using a lot more of him this coming breeding season.
