Based on the success of previous editions and conceived as a sort of festival within a festival, the idea was to once again offer a series of concerts dedicated to children, designed to encourage a joyful and playful listening experience. Weekend performances, featuring ad hoc shows and performances are dedicated to children aged 2 and up. hese include the utch production of ellostorm, which tells the story of a lonely pigeon in search of friends (9 and 10 eptember); lay (16 and 17 eptember), dedicated to childhood, and rfeo (16 and 17 eptember), a musical fable based on onteverdi s masterpiece celebrating the 450th anniversary of the birth of the composer. n short, is not just a spectacular musical marathon, but a fascinating journey into the world of music targeted at a diverse, wide-ranging audience of connoisseurs and newbies. his year, after 19 days of concerts, the festival will end in ilan on Wednesday 20 (and on hursday 21 in urin) with ights, a concert starring the a cala hilharmonic rchestra conducted by aestro iccardo hailly. he program includes ontano by igeti, Bartók s iola oncerto and espighi s symphonic poems ines of ome and Fountains of ome. 1,000 years of music he tremendous musical timeline of stretches across centuries, featuring premieres of works by living composers juxtaposed against the traditional canon of beloved classical music. Here is the breakdown: 115 living composers, 10 talian premieres (by autavaara, an un, lyne, ucros, aulus, Korvits, cowan, ndres, essner and Fairouz), mbrosian chants, Baroque, lassical, omantic, ational chools and the wentieth century. ther highlights include 7 premieres, featuring works, among others, by ianluca ascioli, ärt usberg, irginia uastella and icholas Bacri, plus the debut of 'he Factory ong' by Francesco Fiore, commissioned by the irelli Foundation for violinist alvatore ccardo and the talian hamber rchestra following the composer s visit to the irelli ndustrial Hub outside of urin.
