4 For Ages years WHO WE ARE The Fashion Class is a year round fashion design and sewing studio located at 21 West 39th Street in the heart of NYC s Fashion District. We offer the only camp for teens that teaches both sewing as well as the design & business side of fashion. Now in our 7th season, our Teen Summer Fashion Camp will explore different facets of the fashion industry and spend time each day in the sewing studio creating actual garments! WHAT WE DO IN FASHION CAMP During Fashion Camp at TFC campers will sketch, sew, drape, shop at Mood Designer Fabrics and go on amazing trips to meet real fashion industry pros! Our past trips have included Marchesa, Tommy Hilfiger, Marie Claire magazine, Austin Scarlett & more. Finally our camp wouldn t be complete without trips to amazing fashion exhibits at the Fashion Institute of Technology or the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute. Since 2010 The Fashion Class has offered fashion design and sewing classes & camps to children and teenagers in NYC. Camp Hours: 9:30AM-4PM Mon Fri Loca on: The Fashion Class 21 W 39th Street, New York, NY Price: $950/week Ages: 13-17yrs Dates: August 6th - 10th 2018 Campers work in a gorgeous 2500 sq ft loft style studio in the heart of Manhattan; featuring a sewing room, art room, 2 bathrooms and lunch area. Our camp instructors are graduates of fashion degree programs from some of the best design schools in the world, like Parsons The New School for Design & FIT. Our instructors and guests work in the industry as designers, stylists and fashion illustrators. Our teacher to camper ratio is 5:1 in sewing class & 4:1 for field trips. Campers will learn to sew on state-of-the-art computerized touch-screen sewing machines by Singer. The ability to sew garments, combined with our experience and amazing staff sets The Fashion Class teen camp apart in NYC!

5 Our fashion camp is for serious fashionistas who want to make their design dreams a reality! The TFC camp holds only 10 campers and space is very limited. We want our campers to get the most out of their experience and learn with other students who love fashion. Visit to register Once payment is received all campers will be ed their design challenge to bring in on the first day of camp! Things to Note: Payment Schedule: 30% non refundable deposit due upon acceptance. Balance due one week prior to camp start. All supplies, trip transportation & fees are included. Early drop off (8:30-10am) and Late Pickup (4-6pm) $15 per hour. Lunch is not included. Where to Stay We do not provide lodging but can recommend nearby and affordable hotels. When I was in high school all I wanted to do was work in fashion but I didn t know anyone who could help. During my senior year and throughout college I started and ran my own line I learned a lot & met people in the industry. The line eventually sold internationally & I even had a deal with Bloomingdales! I think it s important for our teen campers to meet real fashion designers & make their own connections. They ll see different sides of fashion; design, marketing, business & get real hands on experience to help them decide which career path they may want to take later on. Kerri Q., Founder
