On 5 August 2014, ERA Singapore held its annual Career Advancement Day at Toa Payoh Stadium. The theme for the event was GenERAtion Superstar, paying tribute to all top achieving ERA superstars throughout the years. The event turnout was spectacular with 1,200 ERA teammates, esteemed guests and industry partners in attendance! Apart from saluting the ERA Top 100 Achievers, the evening also centred on celebrating the 49th birthday of Singapore and the setting of a brand new record in the Singapore Book of Records. The evening kicked off with light refreshments and an opening speech by ERA Chief Executive Officer Mr Jack Chua. Congratulating all award winners, Mr Chua commended all salespersons on their tenacity and drive to not just survive, but succeed and prosper even in adverse market conditions. In line with the theme of recognizing all superstars since the company s inception in 1982, special Superstar Bonuses and Pioneer Generation Gold Awards were given out in appreciation to all those who have been with the company for more than 20 years. Mr Chua also took the opportunity to announce the roll-out of several new ERA initiatives to help enhance the marketing efforts of all ERA salespersons. 2 Following the opening speech, renowned emcee Justin Misson led the crowd in a rousing cheer as the Top Achievers prepared for the much anticipated Awards Presentation for the Top 100 Achievers. The highlight of the event however, was the participation of all ERA staff, salespersons and friends in the mass dance and formation of the National Flag with red and white umbrellas. With the contribution and hard work of all participants, ERA officially set the record for the Largest Mass Cane Dance in Singapore, as witnessed and officiated by the Singapore Book of Records. The evening ended off on a high note as the united One ERA family solemnly recited the National Pledge as led by Mr Chua! New ERA Initiatives ERA s strategy to constantly innovate and value-add its salespersons with premium tools and training has given the company a truly unmatched competitive edge. Its comprehensive suite of training programs include Power Monday, IMPACT, AccelERAtion, Leadership Development Program among many others these are specially designed to include high-level marketing strategies, closing tactics and field work segments that value-add both new and seasoned salespersons. ERA e-litho ERA introduced the e-litho system a simple map interface that allows users to conduct a map search by keying in the property s street name or postal code. This will enable the map to pull up the relevant land lot numbers and display all nearby amenities, facilities and transport hubs such as MRT stations, schools or shopping malls. The e-litho system is also able to perform radius / distance measurements and compute the distance from the property to any nearby amenity. This handy tool brings convenience right to the fingertips of all ERA salespersons and is extremely useful for those who are always on the go. Revamped ERA Website ERA embarked on a website revamp to refresh the site and enhance our online web platform to better serve both salespersons and consumers. Sleek, modern and professional, the new website features a clean red and white look to emphasize the ERA brand colours. 3 The Evolution of the ERA ANSWERS Book Introduced in 1995, ERA was the first to publish the ANSWERS book that provided comprehensive answers to 101 frequently asked questions on selling and buying a home. This slowly evolved to the Passport for Success series in A line of innovative marketing tools, these included the Passport to Selling, Passport to Buying, Passport to Success and Passport to a Career in Real Estate guides. ERA participated in the STJobs Career & Development Fair 2014 held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo Halls D & E from 12th July 14 to 13th July 14. It was a fantastic opportunity for our salespersons to get to know more prospective job seekers and spread the word on our brand! Before the event, the planning committee went through detailed meetings with key personnel and vendors to put this event together. The main objective was to introduce prospective job seekers to the real estate industry and how they can have a rewarding career as a salesperson with the largest real estate agency in Singapore! A total of 60 salespersons went down to show their support and help out with the event activities over the weekend. The ERA booth was bustling with curious job seekers who wanted to find out more about starting a career with ERA. Our Chief Operating Officer Mr. Marcus Chu was also invited to conduct a seminar at the convention hall. It was full house over at the hall as Marcus dished out tips and strategies on how to grow your wealth and become a successful ERA salesperson. He also touched on the advantages of being in ERA with a comprehensive suite of training programs and an impressive string of top awards and accolades, ERA is the premier platform for salespersons to shine. By the end of the event, hundreds of job seekers had expressed their interest to join ERA and signed up on the spot. Great job ONE ERA!
