2 RUNWAY DRESS COLLECTION THE RUNWAY SCENE ACTS AS THE ICING ON THE CAKE IN TERMS OF THE FASHION IN THIS MOVIE AND WAS A REAL HIGHLIGHT FOR ALL TEAMS INVOLVED. A LOT OF TIME AND PLANNING WENT INTO PERFECTING THIS PIVOTAL SCENE, WHICH SHOWCASED NOT ONLY KATE S DRESS COLLECTION, NOW WORKING ALONGSIDE HER FATHER AT KASSELL IN THE MOVIE, BUT ALSO LE CHÂTEAU S HOLIDAY 2014 DRESS COLLECTION, WHICH WAS USED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THIS SCENE. This scene was coordinated by Hans Koechling, the highly esteemed Fashion Show Producer who has been the genius behind many fashion events for Canadian and International brands. At the forefront of the Canadian fashion industry, Hans was selected to coordinate this scene because of his vast experience and his work with other premium brands and fashion houses including Marchesa, Oscar de la Renta, Chanel and Escada, just to name a few. When approached for this project, Hans admits his first thought was What a fabulous concept for LE CHÂTEAU. Thrilled to work with this magnificent selection of dresses, he describes the looks as on-trend and perfect for anyone looking for a red carpet or holiday dress. When putting together details of the show, his inspiration came from the immaculate selection of gowns, along with the vast array of complementary shoes and accessories to choose from. This, combined with the casting of the right models for each of the glamorous looks, truly brought each dress creation to life. With the dressed model in front of him, then came the inspiration to add the right accessories and the hair & make-up beauty image to complete the red carpet look. Pulling pairs of shoes from the très-chic selections available was key, including couture inspired, diamond shimmering embellished heels, fashion-forward pale & neutral evening pumps, and black sexy satin styles. As LE CHÂTEAU is known for its vast and beautiful selection of jewellery, again Hans worked his magic with ease. From large stone colliers to chandelier earrings, bracelets and rings each look was accessorized to its maximum modern appeal. According the Hans, the key is to know where to start and where less is sometimes more. Strong and subtle accent pieces lent some of the gowns to shine even more. With much attention to detail, the model first was asked to walk the room as if she was on the runway, giving Hans the opportunity to make any possible adjustments and confirm the final look of each individual gown. 3 A strapless embroidered chiffon fluted hi-low dress with a modern silhouette inspired by the clean lines of a calla lily. 11 A hands-down favourite of many of the designers at Le Château, the next dress, a grey chiffon applique ball gown, is a total show-stopper with its classic fairytale princess silhouette modernized in a soft, stormy grey tone. 15 The grand finale dress in the movie, this crisp white sweetheart ball gown with layered petal skirt is made of sequin floral lace with organza skirt and optimistically foreshadows wedding plans for Kate and Nate.
