10 Searching for the Next Development Model Integral Conversation Integral Conversation, an annual sustainability conference established by Esquel in 2014, is the platform for like-minded people to discuss and exchange ideas. Through collective thinking and discussion, the conference aims at exploring new and viable social and environmental practices and behavior. Factory of the Future The Integral in Jiumeiqiao, Guilin, will showcase a new model that strives for a balance between production facilities and eco-tourism elements in a harmonious way.

11 Efforts in Sustainability Esquel established its Sustainability Council in 2013 to formalize and oversee our sustainable development. Our sustainability strategy focuses on the four pillars of Planet, People, Product and Community. Planet Since 2005, we have invested over US$150 million into managing our water and energy consumption. We have achieved significant reduction over the last decade through technical innovations and effective management. â43% â64% Global energy consumption* reduced per unit of production Global water consumption* reduced per unit of production Treats 5,000 tons of wastewater daily in which 3,000 tons are reused in production processes. Reduced ~10,996 kg of CO2 emission in 2H 2016 by launching the self-developed mobile app Esquel Carpool 3000 tons â10996 KG *Statistics reflect our achievements from 2005 to 2016
