Many opal miners spend a whole lifetime mining and never find an opalised Sea Snail (Euspira). One miner has recently found a lot and we have been lucky enough to secure a number of them, the best is full colour skin to skin and only $700, it is a fine example and is good enough for any museum. The largest snail weighs 42cts, is a wonderful shape showing some reds and greens at only $300. I absolutely love #9 2.78cts for only $245 it s also skin to skin, it s a Baby Snail, one of the smallest I have ever seen, most unusual. There are a couple of polished shell pieces that came with the parcel, one IMG_0864 is brilliant, there is another one with it not quite as brilliant but we are only asking $95 for two. There are another two weighing 4.7cts for only $47, you can t beat that price, it s really only the price of cutting and polishing, you are really getting that opal for free. We have four special parcels where some of the opals have been faced, although they are only about.5oz each they would be a little more if the tops hadn t been taken off many of the stones to show you exactly what you are getting. IMG_0884 has 10 stones $510, there is a beautiful rectangular red stone there measuring 16mm x 11mm with a depth of just over 12mm. That stone when cut alone should be worth $500 and has a couple of brothers in that parcel together with a very long 32mm skin to skin reds that will make a smashing double sided pendant. IMG_5194 this parcel has 10 stones, they average $49.50 each, you can t go wrong. There is a large piece, I d say from the same parcel as the gem in the $510 packet that would make a beautiful ring or man s ring. There are two other parcels, one for $499, one for $498, beautiful opals, every stone will cut a stone. If you jump in quickly you can grab the $510 grade. Some time soon we are going to have some specials of doublets and solid opals. Today just as a sample we have 10 stones for only $275 and another 10 stones for $274. Where are you going to buy stones or solid gem doublets for only $27.40 and $27.50 per stone, impossible! Once again first in best dressed.
