6 THE PURE BRILLIANCE CONCEPT FOR ZIRCONIA AS BRILLIANT AS A DIAMOND In the first part of the Pure Brilliance concept, an entirely new dimension of brilliance was achieved by applying the ideal diamond cut standards to zirconia for the very first time, strictly adhering to the exacting standards of the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) for grading diamond cut quality. A computer model based on GIA data confirms that the Swarovski Round Pure Brilliance cut offers the same brightness as a Tolkowsky Diamond. 100 % SWAROVSKI GEMS Pure Brilliance concept embraces the company s three pillars of excellence: the strength of the brand, the outstanding Pure Brilliance cuts for zirconia, and the unique laser-engraved quality seal, each being unique in composition and providing differentiation from the competition. 10 ZIRCONIA TCF / Thermal Color Fusion A patented innovative process TCF is an innovative process applied to zirconia that produces a growing array of fashion-forward colors. This special chemical treatment patented in Austria and the United States is permanent. The process results in a hard ceramic layer on the pavilion of the stone and has proven to withstand cast-in-place methods and cleaning processes like ultrasound, magnetic pin, and acid bath, when predefined methods are followed. The availibility of zirconia in trendy colors offers exciting new possibilities to jewelry manufacturers, allowing for up-to-the-minute looks at affordable prices. The TCF treatment also guarentees homogenous colors and allows for the creation of a diverse product range.
