- BODY ART for MAKEUP EXCELLENCE Discover how to use body art to achieve excellence in Makeup Artistry with Becca Gilmartin. WHY THIS COURSE? It wasn t until I started experimenting with Body Art that I noticed a dramatic shift in my confidence and capabilities as a makeup artist. I soon realised it was a direct result of playing with Body Art. You do not need to want to be a body artist to do this course. Any makeup artist will benefit from this course regardless of skill level or interest in the art of body painting.. I designed this course to teach the techniques in Body Art that will train your eyes and hands in a way that when you go back to makeup, you will notice a positive shift in your application methods and self confidence. The same way a coach will have athletes do push ups to build strength This course is about using Body Art as a training ground for your makeup artistry (and more fun than push ups) I will show you how to use Body Art to train yourself for better makeup application, confidence building and creative exploration.
This is a 2 day course held approx. one week apart What you learn DAY ONE - Product knowledge - How Body Art can be use in todays makeup industry. - Logistics of Body Art - Where to start? - What to paint? - How to play with body art without a model. - Exercises to train your eyes and hands that directly improve your skills in contouring, eyeliner application, lip application and more. DAY TWO Paint day! This day is spent creating your own body art creation with a photo shoot at the conclusion. This is the day you put your training into practice skills that cannot be unlearned. Requirements. Bring your own makeup kit. Body Art supplies will be available or Body Art starter kits will also be available for purchase TBA. Own model required for Day 2. Ability to have an open mind and fun essential.
NOTES Day One and Two are approx. a week apart. This is to allow you a week to prepare for your Paint Day. Paint Day ( This day requires your own model.) You will be creating a body art project of your own, using what you have learnt. For those who think they aren t creative Becca will guide you with your design. This is the day you play with body art to put into practice what you have learnt as well as let you creative self run free! Becca will be there to guide and assist you and is guaranteed a fun and valuable day. You can spend the week planning your design. Becca will be on call for you during the week to help if helps needed. Becca will have a basic kit available for the class to share on both days however your own body art kit is advisable. Details coming soon about Becca's starter kit. A photographer will arrive later in the afternoon of Day 2 to shoot your creation. You will be sent a printed copy as well as digital version.

ABOUT BECCA GILMARTIN Becca Gilmartin is an independent Makeup + Body Artist + Hair Stylist based in Sydney. Becca s Makeup + Body Art has appeared in UCE, Vulture, Remix, RUSSH, Oyster, Culture, Peppermint, HELMET, Shop Til You Drop, Stil magazines and on the runways at Australian Fashion Week every year since 2009. She has worked with talents such as Martin Short, Sophie Monk, Lisa Mitchell, Ella Hooper, Sigrid Thornton, Gracie Otto, Barry Otto, Angus Stone, Wolfmother, Margot Robbie, Old Man River and François Sagat. Becca s skill set ranges from basic hair and makeup to makeup design and directing, specialised training, concept body art and product design.
