OPERATING Instructions insert for power cable 1. To charge device, plug power cable into the bottom of the device, then into a power source. When charge is complete, unplug device and insert the tip. The device may be used while plugged in. Unseal tip from package, insert tip into the device, and turn tip a half turn to the right to secure it in place. power/ speed button 2. To turn device on or off, hold the power button for 1 count. 3. RevitaPen has 5 settings to adapt the speed for sensitive skin and boney prominences. To change the speed, click the power button to advance to the next level. You do not need to hold the button down or the device will turn off. The power button turns green once turned on and flashes according to speed. The faster the speed, the faster the light flashes to indicate the chosen speed. The speed settings range from 6500 rpms to 13500 rmps. The faster the speed, the more microchannels created. 4. Using the adjustment dial, adjust tip accordingly to density of the skin being treated. Lower the setting for sensitive skin and raise the tip for more resilient skin. Turn the adjustment dial to the right to increase the height. The adjustment dial measures in millimeters. Make sure the adjustment dial is at 1.25 or more for treatment. This adjusts the depth at which the spheres can create microchannels so the lower setting, 1.25, would be for sensitive skin and 2.5 would be for normal skin or advanced treatments. If below 1.25, the spheres will not reach the skin surface. The spheres will not reach past the stratum granulosum with recommended amount of pressure. HOW TO USE RevitaPen 1. It is recommended to always start at the lowest speed and work up. Lower speed is for first time treatments, sensitive skin, and areas where bone or cartilage is prominent - such as bridge of nose, forehead and eyes. On delicate areas such as eyelids and/or lip you can do a tapping movement. To advance speed, the client should have tolerable skin and have had previous experience with the treatment. MAP 2. Hold the RevitaPen at a 90 angle or perpendicular to the skin. Do not apply pressure to the skin, gravity and the weight of the device will guide you. Use a sweeping motion as you work through the quadrants without lifting the RevitaPen off the skin. You will need to adjust the angle at which you hold the pen to the skin, keeping it perpendicular. Apply a thin layer of product based on skin type/condition in the quadrant you are working on. Hold the skin tight between your fingers to have maximum control. This will ensure the device will glide smoothly on the skin. 4. As you work your way through the quadrants, the area should be wet and skin held tight. RevitaPen medi-infusion protocol Treatment offering immediate and long term results with noninvasive tool, RevitaPen, to enhance product absorption and drive active ingredients deep into the skin for optimal skin restoration. The enhanced treatment stimulates circulation, visibly softens fine lines, reduces scarring, improves hydration levels and control breakouts. RECOMMENDED FOR: All skin types, except inflamed or open breakouts. PROTOCOL: STEP 1 CLEANSE: Pre-cleanse with 1 pump of Cleanse or Deep Clean to remove impurities and makeup. Then cleanse again with 1 pump of Purify to prepare the skin for gentle exfoliation. Remove product with warm towel. STEP 2 SKIN PREP: Apply 1 pump of Polish and massage skin for 2-3 minutes. For sensitive skin add the Soothing Gel Mask. Optional to incorporate steam. Remove Polish with warm towel. Extractions may be performed at this time STEP 3 PRE TREAT: Apply ½ pump of a Treatment Serum with 1 scoop of Powder Blends or Powder Actives based on skin type/condition. See chart for product recommendations based on skin type/condition. STEP 4 FACIAL INFUSION: Dispense Facial Infusion into bowl with 1 pump of Clear or Clear Plus+ and customize mixture with Powder Blends or Powder Actives. Apply evenly onto the skin. STEP 5 REVITAPEN: Based on facial grid diagram below, follow the quadrant order and sweeping pattern. Apply a thin layer of product based on skin type/condition in the quadrant you are working on. If more slip is needed, add Clear or Clear Plus+. After sweeping pattern in each quadrant has been completed, massage excess product into skin. Note: Keep device on lower speed for thinner skinned areas of the face such as forehead and temples. STEP 6 MASK: Choose mask based on skin type/condition. For more correction and customization add 1 scoop of a Powder Blend or Powder Active to mask, with 1 pump of Clear or Clear Plus+. Apply evenly and massage into skin for 2-3 minutes. Gently lay a warm towel on the face without applying pressure. When the heat evaporates from the towel, gently lift and remove, without wiping or removing any product. Massage for an additional minute. Then using new warm towel, gently remove product. STEP 7 EYE TREATMENT: With ring finger, apply Refresh or Refresh PM to eye area. STEP 8 HYDRATE: Apply Quench or Quench Plus+ or for light hydration spray Clear Plus+. STEP 9 SUN PROTECTION: Apply a full amount of Protect SPF 30. Massage in until blended. Also available are Colour Mineral Powders for environmental protection, soothing the skin and evening skin tone. What to Expect After RevitaPen Facial days 1-4 The skin will be tighter, firmer, plumper and will look radiant. The client may feel dryness as the stratum corneum experiences a gentle exfoliation. days 5-7 More specific results of the facial will be seen. More evenly toned, firmer skin as well as positive results of their targeted skin concern. PLEASE NOTE: RevitaPen is sold exclusively through Osmosis. Must be a Licensed Esthetician or Licensed Professional. RevitaPen Tips are a single use only and can be discarded in the garbage. If for any reason a reaction occurs while performing the treatment, stop immediately and cool the skin. Reassess skin and then apply calming products such as Tropical Mango Mask. RevitaPen has only been tested with Osmosis products. It is recommended to use Osmosis Skin Care products only. Men, prior to receiving a Revita Pen Facial, should shave at least 1-2 hours but not more than 24 hours prior. Do not treat active blemishes. Warranty Details There is a full warranty 1 year from time of purchase for a replacement RevitaPen. The warranty only covers operating defaults in the unit. Frequently Asked Questions Why should I use this tool? This noninvasive cosmetic tool is designed to enhance the results of your treatments through encouraging more product absorption and refining the surface. It is not classified as a medical device so any licensed skincare professional can incorporate it into their practice. What is the tip made out of? The tip is made from stainless surgical steel with conical nano-tips that create micro-channels in the skin. This size of the tip is 8mm in diameter with 100 nano-spheres on the top of each sphere and.015mm tall. What are the benefits? This ergonomic device enhances product absorption to create visible and instant results in firming and refreshing the skin with micro-channels that allow active ingredients to be driven deeper into the skin. The combined effect from the active ingredients and stimulation from the device will improve circulation, soften fine lines, reduce scarring, improve hydration levels, and control breakouts. Is there downtime with the RevitaPen treatment? There is no down time or recovery time needed. Redness may be apparent for a short time due to increased circulation, products used during treatment, how many passes over the skin are made, or how aggressive the treatment was, but should subside within a few hours. The calming Tropical Mango Mask is recommend to soothe the skin. They can continue to use their products unless they contain high amounts of enzymes, acids, or high doses of retinoids of which they should wait a few days before use. Osmosis Colour Mineral Powders can be used immediately after treatment to provide protection. How is this different from Dermarolling or Microneedling? This is a noninvasive procedure that will not create a wound or inflammation in the skin. As the spheres are only 0.015mm in length they do not penetrate past the stratum granulosum. There is no discomfort and no downtime after receiving a RevitaPen treatment. Can I use other tips/chips with the RevitaPen device? We do not recommended and would negate warranty. The RevitaPen does not work with other tips/chips due to the locking mechanism that attaches the tip to the device. Can I use the same tip on multiple customers or on the same customer on their next visit? No. The nano-sized spheres wear down during the treatment, hindering the performance if used again. A new tip should be used with each treatment. The tips are individually sealed to ensure sanitization. Should I disconnect the RevitaPen unit from the power source once fully charged? You can keep the RevitaPen plugged in even after it is fully charged and it will not affect the battery lifespan or break down the battery. It is similar to your Smart Phone device. As a reminder, the indicator light will turn green once its fully charged. How do I incorporate the RevitaPen into my facials? You can incorporate RevitaPen into any Osmosis facials where you want facilitated absorption of active ingredients. A full face RevitaPen portion takes 15-20 minutes to perform. You can also do a 5 minute add-on with a lip, eye or neck lifting/ plumping service. This device is not recommend for use with peels or products that have high enzyme or acid content as they may become too strong for maintaining a healthy barrier. Can I use the RevitaPen with the Facial Infusion? Yes, it is highly recommended to enhance the results you see from Facial Infusion. Skin will look hydrated and plump with fewer fine lines and even texture and the results improve over time. Can I use the RevitaPen with other modalities? Yes, this device works well with many other modalities, like microdermabrasion, LED and microcurrent. Is there a warranty on the RevitaPen? Yes, there is a one year warranty on the device (including the power cable and device unit) from date of purchase. If product is defective within that period, Osmosis will replace it. The warranty does not cover accidental damage. Am I able to use this tool in my state? If you are a licensed skincare professional in your state of practice and your state allows you to use cosmetic tools you can use this device as it is classified as a cosmetic tool, not a medical tool.
