Providence Christian Academy Uniform Policy PCA is a workplace for students and teachers. Students should dress in a way to demonstrate respect for their school. Attire should be neat with all shirts tucked in shoes tied, no holes or tears in clothing. Improperly sized clothing or clingy-type fabrics are not allowed. Judgment of immodest clothing is an administrative decision. Outlandish or distracting clothing or appearance will not be allowed. The PCA uniform policy is integral to the positive learning atmosphere of the school. Continual questioning of the purposes and rules creates an attitude of rebellion, which is counterproductive. We encourage parents to ensure their child s compliance. ** Any logo or plaid uniform item must be purchased through Approved Uniform Vendor list. ** PRE-KINDERGARTEN 8 TH GRADE GIRLS DAILY DRESS Shorts or Pants- Plain (flat front) or pleated in true khaki. (See Approved Uniform Vendor List for color) Shorts must be no more than 3 from top of knee (using a 3x5 index card). No drawstrings or cargo style pants and/or shorts (pockets only at waist). Skirts, Skorts, or Jumpers- School plaid or true khaki. (See Approved Uniform Vendor List for color) Must be no more than 3 from top of knee (using a 3x5 index card). Jumpers in plaid only for PK-3. Polo Style Shirts- Short or long sleeves (solid white, yellow, or navy). Shirts must come from Approved Uniform Vendor List and be embroidered with approved PCA logo. Cardigan or V-Neck Pullover Vests- Solid navy. All sweaters must come from Approved Uniform Vendor List and have the PCA logo. Sweaters come in Navy only (no white) and crewneck cardigans only for girls, no pullover sweaters. Logos and brand names should be minimal. Socks must be worn with shoes. Physical Education- PE uniforms are required for grades 4-8 and must be purchased from Approved Uniform Vendor List.

Blouses- Peter Pan blouses in solid white available through Approved Uniform Vendor List. Cardigan or V-Neck Pullover Vests- Solid navy. All sweaters must come from Approved Uniform Vendor List and have the PCA logo. Sweaters come in Navy only (no white) and crewneck cardigans only for girls, no pullover sweaters. Hair accessories for girls should be white, navy, yellow, or neutral in color. Hair accessories made from PCA s school plaid are also acceptable. Not permitted: unnaturally dyed hair colors and body piercings. 2

No sandals, clogs, boots, or tennis shoes may be worn on chapel day. * Male students are not permitted to wear earrings during school hours or while participating in school-related activities. If that shirt is not available to the student on that day, the student is to wear normal uniform attire. All other clothing (such as pull-overs) worn that day must follow the uniform policy. Students participating in co-op sports with other schools will wear only what has been approved by the coach and athletic director. Shirts and other gear marked with another school s logo or name will not be worn during the school day. 4
