Uniform Policy Uniform Range The Academy Schoolwear range has been developed to provide a total package. It is therefore expected that the range will be implemented in it s entirety and not mixed and matched with alternative items. Footwear Shoes are to be regular black leather or synthetic school shoes. Suede shoes, boots, joggers, sand shoes and leisure shoes are not acceptable. Shoes are to be purchased separately. Garment Care School uniforms should be clean and presentable. Torn or badly damaged garments that cannot be mended should be promptly replaced. All items of clothing (especially outer wear) should be labelled with the students name. Skirt Length - Junior and Senior The specified lengths for each of the girls lower garments are as follows: Summer Dress - 10-15cm below the knee mid point. Winter Dress - 10-15cm below the knee mid point. Sports Skirt - Maximum length is the knee mid point. Socks and Tights Summer - Girls: white ankle socks, Boys: black socks. Winter - Girls: black microfibre tights, Boys: black socks. Sports - Girls: white ankle socks, Boys: short white socks. Tokens and Headcoverings Hats should be worn by girls when travelling in public; walking to school, travelling on public transport, school excursions. A variety pack of items suitable for tokens is included in the uniform range; navy or burgundy headbands, navy or burgundy bows, navy or burgundy ribbons, navy or burgundy scrunchies. How to Measure Height - no shoes, feet together, flat on the floor, measure from the top of the head to the ground. Collar Measure around the base of the neck where the collar sits. Chest Place the tape close up to under the arms, measure around the chest at the fullest. Waist Measure around the natural waistline. Hips Measure around the bottom, at the fullest point. Mid Knee Point Measure to the centre of the knee cap. These are the only items acceptable for wearing as tokens. Feathers, flowers and other large items are not appropriate for wearing as tokens at school. Scarves A navy with burgundy stripe scarf is also included in the range. Alternative neck scarves are not acceptable. Machine Wash, WARM Tumble Dry, LOW HEAT Machine Wash, COLD Gentle Cycle Dry Flat Machine Wash, WARM Gentle Cycle Do Not Tumble Dry Hand Wash Iron, Steam or Dry, LOW HEAT Inside Leg Measure from the crotch to the ankle bone.
